Linked at the top of the original post on page 1.
    Rigid Selective Yellow
SS3 Sports covered in here Diode Dynamics SS3

Rigid D-series selective yellow at 318 lux in a 60x9 degree pattern
SS3 Sport selective yellow at 352 lux in a 81x8 degree pattern

The selective yellow D-series are nice, but I'd go with the SS3 sports. Greater output and wider beam pattern. Not sure if they offer a mount for your vehicle, but the SS3 are easier to custom mount than the D-series as well vs the traditional pod.

Has anyone gotten the OffRoadTown fog pods to fit in the Cali Raised brackets? I can't seem to get them to fit.

Yes. What is the issue specifically, do you have pics?

Sorry, its been a busy week. I was just able to play around with this a little more and realized that the pod/bracket on the right side of the images fits just fine. The one on the left won't push into the bracket far enough to align the mounting holes (seen in third pic). I tried putting the pod from the right into the bracket on the left and that still didn't work, which leads me to believing that that particular bracket is the issue. Any tips or tricks to get it to work in there? Thanks

Looks like a defective bracket. Is the pod body contacting the opening on the bracket not allowing it to go further in? If so you might try bending it away from that side with some pliers to see if that helps, and then paint any tool marks afterward. But given the bracket design and weld lines I'd give that a low chance of success. I'd look to get a replacement from Cali.

Agreed. Yeah, the pod fins are contacting the bracket when pushed in. It seems like the bracket was just manufactured too narrow. Hopefully Cali Rasied can make it right. Thanks for the validation!

Some roads around my area are renovating and using black asphalt.

Anyone notice how this material absorbs pretty much all of the light coming out of our cars? Despite having morimoto retrofitted projectors and ss3 sports (Amber).. the roads are so dim compared to concrete roads.

Should I put more money into lights or just a waste of money.

Well, when you shine light on something black, it looks black not because it is dark but because the object is actually black. I've had the same experience in my 2nd Gen with outstanding lighting. The blackness of the asphalt will fade over time, doesn't help you now though. But putting more money into lights won't help with the color either.

Haha very true. Love it when my car is the brightest on the road but that quickly turns into sadness once I hit the asphalt roads.

This is the truth!! As soon as you cross over state lines it's like you're off-roading down the interstate.

For guys running the DD SS3 in their gen 2's, are you happy with the fitment? crashnburn80 showed in his post that they were designed for the gen 3's and you can only use 1 out of the 2 screws to mount on a gen 2. I haven't actually removed my factory lights yet to see the mounting situation but using only 1 screw to hold the fog light assembly seems a bit hokey. How is it in reality?

After many hours of reading this thread I was pretty close to ordering the KC G4 LED fogs in 5000k. Do the KC G4 LED's allow for using both mounting screws on the gen 2? They were tested at 296 lux and 5062k. I picked these because out of the white fog light options they had the lowest kelvin and would be the most useful in actual fog/snow conditions. I know amber or selective yellow are both more functional than the white light but I was never a huge fan of the look. But now I see I can get the SS3 in Yellow and swap to a clear lens and run them at 4000k. This seems like the perfect compromise for me....as long as the fitment is secure.

I just purchased and installed a set of ss3's for my 2012. In terms of how they mount into the existing mounting points, they fit solidly. The mounting hardware is quality. For the one mounting screw, I was skeptical, but it holds the foglights securely with no play. The only critique I could see people having with these (which I don't) is that when you to aim these properly, it will create a slight gap on the bottom of the foglight between the mounting hardware. You can't really see the gap unless you are several feet away from the bumper staring at the foglights.

The gap is expected with the variance users will encounter. I actually find it reassuring to, ableit neglibile, to increase more airflow to the SS3 MAX foglights I'm currently running.

Don't let it hinder you from running the top performing options. Enjoy and brag to your hearts content to the assholes running non SAE lights ALL THE TIME. Or just sit back and relax knowing you have a better performing product on your vehicle and people thinking "Oh I'm not getting blind from this guy <3"

That gap doesn't bother me at all, I was just stating to the other guy as something that is part of the proper install for these lights.

SS3 Sports slushed out this morning. I think the recessed lens creates a pocket for snow/slush so that doesn't help. I might make my own plexi cover to keep the lens cleaner.

I need to get mine ordered! Just haven't had a chance to check yet that a 9006 connection will fit the factory fog connecter. Or close enough I can modify it to fit. So I can use a 9006 to deutsch kit.

Also thinking of getting a small 6" DD light bar for the top of the bumper.
