So right now the April 16 $400 call is $9000.
You can get 30 shares right now for $9000. If it goes to $400 that’s another 30x100, $3,000
To make $3000 on a $400 call the stock hast to go to $430. At $430 30 shares is worth $12,900. That $400 call isn’t worth $9000 until shares are $490. At $490 30 shares is $14,700. So that means by the time that call is profitable vs buying shares the stock has to be over $500. Sure it will have an enormous payday but that’s a lot of cash to lay out right now

 

So you can see when it crossed $300 GameStop had a ton of people trigger sell orders.
