Did ~ 1200miles of driving this weekend. Reverting back to stock optimum torque tables resulted in ZERO gear hangs when it wasnt warranted. I didnt have to do a D to 4 back to D once, and there was TONS of hilly driving (up n over the grapevine ~4000ft, and up n over donner pass ~ 7000ft). This made the driving experience SO much better.

I’ve been running that table stock for some time now because that was the only way I was able to get my transmission to behave properly.

Unfortunately for me (likely due to having the full IPT trans and torque converter) messing with that table did a lot more weird stuff than just the 4-5 hang. Mine would also hang in 3rd, rev really high before shifting most of the time and shift way harder than necessary most of the time. With the stock optimum torque table it’s buttery smooth.

I found the same things (fully stock trans). It would AI hang in third just like 4th, wouldnt shift at desired shift points and would shift pretty hard at lower throttle inputs. Now shes behaving properly and smoooth.

Well.... thats the thing. I have a "v15" I have been playing with with its original purpose to try and get rid of 4th (and 3rd) gear hangs.... now that i know its the Optimum torque tables messing with stuff I might go back to the drawing board a little bit before releasing a new trans tune.

Got anything that’ll help me get the power down to the ground at the rear tires? Really seems like the truck has only been pulling from the front lately

excuse the probably dumb question but what does this mean for us? I have a tuned ecu but still have that shifting issue... should I send it back to you or Justin for an update? that gear hang bs is one of the the things i dislike most about the way this thing drives lol

I’ll handle any updates for the folks running my tunes.

I’m continuing development on a true “fix” so torque management can still be calibrated without affecting shift function. That is however still in progress, but I can revert your torque tables to OE values to return shift function.

just PM me and I’ll get you sorted.

Yup Justin and partially myself have been trying to get a "fix" to have our cake and eat it too (with relation to torque management / proper shifting ). But I have had minimal success with trying to make tables correlate to make things behave proper.

I'm using your v14 TQ settings with slightly tweaked shift scheduling. I was getting too much limiter on 1-2, 2-3 with the v14 scheduling. I haven't really had any issue with hanging since v12, only a slight flare going into 5th that got better over time. Guessing it just had to re-learn?

Interesting on the limiter. only the 1-2 shift has been raised at WOT by a smidge (20 drive shaft rpms = ~ 100 engine rpms) every other gear at WOT is stock. Whats your revlimiter set to in your tune (i have seen drastically different limiter numbers depending on the tune)

I have different tunes with different rev limit values. (6100/6500) Both were doing the same thing as far as I can recall.

Anyone know if they fixed the stand alone logging with the pro version yet? (To allow logging of all the necessary channels)
I'm assuming it'll update the firmware of the dongle to 3.1.* vs the 3.1.4 that it currently uses.

Can confirm it works. But I was part of the early release Beta for that. Not sure if it's out for the peasants yet ;) (I kid!)
