the oil filter is on the bottom of the motor!
gen2 was superior on this one....top loading & easy as F for DIY
the gen3 is like my daughters 2018 rav4 as far as the oil filter

looks like its a paper replacement only, like the rav4 as well

You may have wanted to wait more than an hour of owning the 3rd gen before making the list. With such little time, your list is no more accurate than the ones you're complaining about.
Also, you should break it down by year, as not all 3rd gens have the options you listed as "Pros".

    Cons, because it's lacking:

    hood struts,
    bowl lighting,
    one touch back windows,
    one touch rear window,
    reverse S-mode shifting,
    interior blackout kit,
    spotter mirror,

I’ve never even thought about the things you listed as “cons” as being cons.

I’m either extremely low-maintenance or I’m bias and refuse to acknowledge my Taco’s “faults” :D

Nice! I didn't know that one.

We leave our keys in the cars when parked in our garage. It is nice to just walk away, esp with the parking light setting.

I would prefer the foot style parking brake over the hand style
(its gonna be a real pain to clean that wacky 80s style boot cover around the handle)
    the gen2 had this better
plus that space could have been better used for center console/storage purposes
