This is awesome! I want one. I think I'd try to mount it upside down on my bedrack beneath my RTT. As for name suggestions, I like @Xplosiv suggestions.

show me the bottom of your bedrack. i'm curious what that would look like. I think overhead horizontal storage is a great option for campershell guys for sure. that space at the top of the pile is always the hardest to use. we can potentially work up some replacement to the T nuts that would make life easier for RTT guys if there's enough interest.

This looks like an awesome product. I think it would pair really well with Nimble9's SideRide mounts.

I don’t have access to my truck currently, but here’s some photos to get an idea. I think making a flat bottom where a 1/4 inch T slot can slide would be sweet. As you can see I also have some panels running through the center that would also work for this to be bolted through a 1/4 inch of aluminum.

I was already thinking of buying this version, using a dremel to make the bottom flat then bolt it up to my center mounted panels. Just an option if you don’t make another version.

ah yes if that's 8020 style extrusion you could absolutely use 1/4" t nut with a long enough bolt to go through the 2 existing holes and get this thing mounted. or as a 1 off install the mounting holes are easy to mark out, exactly 2" on center. it's using M8 hardware for mounting since that's what fits the T nuts.

I'm also working on some "drop in" style T nuts for track so you don't have to disassemble. do you know what the inner dimensions of that 8020 track is?

I don't know exactly, but I'm assuming this UpTop Overland bedrack has the same track dimensions as my Prinsu rack, where 1/4in carriage bolts will work in the slot. I know UpTop sells some mounting hardware as well. Link below
    https://www.uptopoverland.com/products/uptop-tracnut

I will get the truck back on Monday (currently stuck in some paint repair from a recent break in). I can give you some pretty exact dimensions if you need them at that point! I'm super excited for this product. This is how my bike currently mounts up on the truck... (not shown is the strap that goes around the frame to the spare tire)

    thumbnail_IMG_5441.jpg

I hate putting the front wheel in the backseat of the truck since it always gets grease on my seats and I'm wary about leaving the wheel unsecure in the bed like I normally do. I think this product would easily solve the wheel being taken by an honest man.

That bike mount setup is seriously one of the best uses of that space i've ever seen. amazing!

as far as the UpTop mount, we can totally make this work. 1/4" bolt is 6.35mm, and the holes in this setup are 6.6mm for m6 bolts. so you should be able to fire 1/4" bolts into the 2 mounting holes and right into those tracnuts you linked. bing bam boom. mount this thing in any orientation you want on any of that 8020 rail.

All the positive feedback in this thread has put my ass in gear for sure. Just placed an order for all the stuff i need to do a small run of 40 of these setups. Some of the materials are a few weeks out, but i'll get started on what i can and probably just do a "group buy" style thread here for people who want to order in the first batch.

Thanks for being as stoked as i am on this @2012TacomaGuy !
