lol not a chance. If I can score a soft topper for cheap before the trip I might have an MTB but I’ll have my dog so probably not.

I hate the sneaky shell game credit card companies play.

There was a 0% APR/12mo promotion on a specific item I wanted to buy with this store card.

The normal APR still applies to the regular purchases I make & I had it configured to apply excess payment over the 12 month/0% split to the normal APR balance. So I'd pay the promotional split and then whatever balance on small purchases I had.

Well, turns out they just "oopsied" the last payment I made to go alllllllll to the promotional balance and not the balance that charges an APR. What a weird mistake, I wonder why something like that would happen??:jerkoff:

It's not a big deal, it's only 12 dollars interest and I've still got my balance almost completely paid off, but man that steams my clams.

Yeah, I know I could, but honestly over $12 it's not worth the frustration and hold time. I know on principle they should get their asses chewed but I'm just gonna watch that allocation like a hawk and keep on chugging at getting my budget where I want it to go.

One cathartic shitpost on AZTW later I think I'm gonna go do some work in the garage. :bananadance:

Sometime in the next few days here I'm going up to Prescott to ride my bike and camp a night or two. Marking my Gaia route and I see boundaries for Prescott national forest and some spots that are not national forest. Is there Anything I need to know for dispersed camping that's specific to Prescott forest lands vs non forest land? I'm basically asking is there anything that's going to effect me if I choose to camp on forest land vs non forest land and vice versa.
I'm learning all this public owned land stuff still since I grew up in Dallas and government owned/public land is very very limited there.

#worktruck those things barely fit in there. Doing similar with the ole race support Elantra today taking a few sets of sliders out for powdercoat. 89A4AA6F-1BBC-4DE1-AE6B-DAD71C2D10C8.jpg

Hell yeah! Thing has been the best investment.. lol That's pretty much the max for bed space. 3 vertical and the 2 laying down stacked. about 350-400 lbs. handled it like a champ! gotta love the daily's/work vehicles.

That’s pretty good. Used the chase Elantra to get my spare mounted and confirmed it can fit a 37 in the back. Heck it had room for a 40 if I jump up haha. Well so long as I only need to take one tire at a time

Wow I have so many odd fasteners laying around... I just found OEM bolts and locking fasteners from the VW GTI I sold in 2011. Still unused and tagged in the VW bag.

At least they are semi organized into little trays now.

Not a lot, just stuff I recognized the packaging on:
    IMG_3952.jpg
Most of it is standard locking metric nuts and bolts with an anti-corrosion coating on it so I figure it's worth keeping in the stock of random bolts and nuts. The thing on the right is a shock shaft bushing for the mount. I think the other one is between a long forgotten couch cushion or something.

Speaking of VW Audi stuff, how about this?

Honestly if you pay yourself first by setting up automatic deposits to savings, schedule extra payments on debt, get your retirement plan contributions automated, you'll be ahead of the game. The rest is just being mindful of spending and using whatever strategy you need to make that happen. For me I just log into my bank account all the time and that keeps me self-conscious about it. For others they need to always pay in cash, use the envelope system, use a zero-based budgeting app, etc. We have all our bills on autopay and do automatic contributions to the joint account. I put every cent of overtime into debt payments and now it's going to building up the emergency account. After that I will set my automatic 457(b) contributions to max that out. Then any excess goes into sinking funds for tattoos, travel, vehicles, etc.
