Let us know how you like this. I’ve been looking at the different BM hunt knives and it’s between this and the steep country

These are seriously the best knives ever made. I always end up going back to mine, no matter what knife I just got.

Im a big Spyderco fan overall. Their ergos and blades steels are unmatched IMO. They can out cut knives 5x the cost!

I just need the liners. I have a set of Rockscale Design Ti scales & backspacers coming in.

Just received the Benchmade 15002-1 S90V mountain skinner. The blade is awesome of course. The handle grips are a bit smooth, would have preferred something a bit more textured like G10. The sheath is the only thing I dislike. It's super tight, don't really know how you would get it out with one hand, almost dangerous to use. I'll look for a leather sheath, I doubt I'll find a Zytel that fits it exact.

It's a nice piece. I'd maybe sit and push it in and out of the sheath while watching TV or something. I've found that seems to help-and for leather, time seems to be about the only thing that helps.

I'm definitely getting another sheath. The one I like the best is the Zytel with my Fallkniven F1x which has a lock that's easy to use with one hand and the blade doesn't rattle when it's in like some of the other ones.

Thank you for the honest review. Surprised the sheath sucks so much. Usually these plastic sheaths have a thumb stud that’s easy to press on for one handed use. It’s unfortunate that this looks to not have that.

Looks like Benchmade made a leather one for an older model, may try to find this.
