Count me in! I'm flexible on dates as long as I can request time off early enough ahead.

I might be in for a couple days. I'll be moving back up to the PNW within a couple weeks. I was out there about 11 years ago. Ill be around Olympia.

You guys think ill have any problems on the trails with the setup in the picture? Its a small teardrop, 5x8 box (forgot the total length), and has about the same ride height as the Tacoma. Have beat it up at Death Valley, so not worried about durability. Nothing too crazy though.

I wouldn’t. There’s a few sections I don’t think it will be a problem nice wide normal FS roads but there’s a few sections that would absolutely destroy it. You would be way happier with a ground tent the first time and see what your up against in the rough sections. There’s a reason one is called Baby Head Hill another one called the Jungle and this nameless spot on Bethel Ridge. BE963BBA-CEBB-4AEC-B3C7-BB601777012F.jpg

Soft yes... way too many factors to consider but I can confirm/deny after y'all have a date.

Kid's schedules, amounts of adventures, covid stuff, jobs... you know. Lots of factors.

    First off welcome!

And second...I think the trailer would be fine personally. These are all just FS roads. There is a washout on section 3 that would test your setup a bit and as mentioned above, the bethell ridge area of section 2 would also be a test. That is an offroad-ish trailer and should do great.

I will go ahead and invite myself along for this as well after missing out last year with my truck being less than trail ready most of the year.

Since it sounds like there are quite a few people interested maybe a couple different trips could be planned, one earlier in the season and another a little later? That way hopefully the group size doesn't get massive and people that may not be able to make one set of dates could be in for the alternate trip.

It's got 32" KO2's, more clearance than the Tacoma (Tacoma has 285/70r17's), and a Lock N Roll articulating hitch. It does well offroad. I'm more concerned with hilly+off camber+muddy areas or snow covered areas where there's a potential to slide. Also any real tight cliff side turns might make it a no go.

I’ve got a 21 OR on order, will definitely be interested in this. I did a few miles on section 4 last summer in my forester and it was a little too much.

There’s plenty of time to snag a taco before the trip or at least test drive one:rofl:

Once the date gets nailed down, I'll see what sections I can meet up for. But I definitely missed out last year. Just too much stuff going on in June/July.

Did the full BDR last summer in my stock TRDOR, I certainly wouldn't want a trailer behind me. While I would do the BDR in a Subaru or something less capable than a Taco, there are some tight spots on the BDR that would take time to figure out how to either avoid or navigate through with a trailer due to both articulation and lack of maneuvering space. I remember backing up and choosing a different line several times. Also if you enjoy exploring any of the offshoots that may end up in dead ends, the trailer would be restrictive turning around.

If you're up for a challenge go for it, but I think it would be much more enjoyable with a ground tent. Trailer would hold you back.

How would you rate the sections from best to worst? I have only done the first 3 sections but would probably rate them 2>3>1
