have you considered dropping the 80’s light fixture and putting up an actual shop light in the garage?

I’ve got plenty of lights but I appreciate your concern.

I have an S8 combo beam light bar, am I allowed to install it upside down? is there any drain/venting issue with this?
I believe the beam pattern is symmetric vertically so it shouldnt matter.

mounting it upside down will allow for the wire path to run a little cleaner.

They're IP69K rated so there's no drain hole. They keep water out completely. I've got a bunch of my lights flipped upside down with no problem.

@Baja Designs Do you have a beamshot comparison from the 10" ONX6 Racer, vs the 10" Hybrid Laser? Im torn between the two and I am looking for narrow beam and range for distance. I am already running a 30" S8 ( Wide Drive) and a 40" ONX6 ( Driving), Plus S1's in the rear bumper and and 4 rock lights in the sides of my roof rack.

I am also nervous about the life cycle of the laser diodes. I see that on the full laser bars they only have a life cycle of 2000 hours, compared to the 48,000+ hours of the LED bars. What happens at that 2000 hours?

Mounting up my bd rock lights! I made some custom brackets for the center and rear lights. This isn’t the final product yet...

The output of the laser diodes will likely begin to diminish around the 2000 hour mark, according the the manufacturer. We have not had the opportunity to see for ourselves, as that is actually a really long time to be using a light in the field. Sorry I cannot provide a super specific example or insight.

As for the Racer vs Hybrid option for your truck. I might be able to pull a few sample photos for you. I am requesting them from Engineering right now. If you can PM me as a reminder, I will try to post them here this week.

With the 30" and 40" bars you definitely have the supporting light to run the Laser without too much separation/bouncing ball effect from the super tight laser pattern.

Two questions (and please feel free to poke me via PM if I don't respond to your responses - still a bit short staffed here):
    1. What are the driving conditions that you are facing right now during which you feel like you are outrunning your current setup? Speed, terrain, distances, etc.
    2. Where do you plan to mount the 10" Racer Edition/Hybrid.

I'm pretty happy the way these turned out :). Time to wire them all up!

That's a solid plug style. I don't have any evidence to support it, but I "prefer" this over Weatherpack. Much less play in the housing and pins, and a smaller form factor to boot!

You should see the rest of my build

Definitely a much tighter fit (imo) and I liked the option for the little mounting tabs to secure them all.
