I was curios if anyone has ordered Kings and received them in recently and If so how long did you have to wait? I was told the lead time could be 30 weeks when I ordered mine today. Hopefully the lead time isn't actually 7-1/2 months. Anyone else waiting on Kings at the moment?

Really depends on who you order them from. New shock orders will definitely take 20+ weeks to get from King right now.

Covid put a huge hit on the off-road industry.... in a good way (sort of). Since most could not travel, they were building their off-road vehicles to go out and "social distance". This, in addition to internal issues with covid/staff/supplies... the lead times have been brutal.

I was quoted 6 months for Kings from two different vendors. I ended up going with ADS, which took 5 weeks.

I ordered Kings from Downsouth about 6 weeks ago, and they had estimated 12-14 weeks. I had heard longer at the time, more like 24 weeks, but hopefully it is the 12-14 DS estimated when they emailed me.

Also what are thoughts on diff drop? Case specific based on CV angles?

My thoughts? I've heard more bad than good. Best to not use a diff drop and just don't lift the truck more than the CV's can handle. Too high of a lift, and you eat up your IFS travel... regardless of the CV angle.

Your max lift should be measured from the top of the shock to the lower shock bolt. Do not exceed 21" With the truck's weight on the wheels), if you're looking to maintain proper ride characteristics (what you paid for).

That's what I've read too, thanks for the reply. I'll probably end up getting some extended brakelines and call it a day.

What about Fox, are they experiencing similar lead times?

Yes, although they have opened some new production lines to help increase their production. Keep in mind, these lead times are for new shock orders. We have large orders for Tacoma shocks constantly being placed, and we can reserve a set thats already on order which makes the wait time slightly less.

Do you require payment up front or do you charge a deposit with the remainder charged when it's shipped? I'm saving up to do a mid-travel Stage 5 this fall, but it sounds like I would have to put an order in now to make that happen.

Yes we require a deposit to get the order going, then pay the remaining amount once we have tuned the shocks and are ready to ship them out to you. Shoot us a message if you have any questions, happy to help.

Weird... you guys told me differently over the phone. Not a big deal, but should probably make sure everyone's on the same page.

In my experience ADS was right on their quoted schedule. That was even with KOH happening within that window, which they attended and still achieved their timeline!
