havent checked in a while, but under $350 when I did mine new from the dealer.

 

You could reuse the snap rings and the bearing but I personally wouldn’t reuse the bearing there just no point , your in there might as well do it .

 

Hey 6 gear in your opinion does ECGS make a good quality product when it comes to a rebuilt 3rd member ?

 

I have a line locally on a diff from an 08 4Runner. $100. 160k miles and includes the solid tube

 

I still put a seal and a bearing in it . Good find great price .

 

some people have had issues in the past, but their customer service is really good as well as warranty. So even though issues are rare, they will take care of you if something does come up. I’d recommend them.

 

hey guys so there are 3 sensors on the FJ case. and only 2 on the tacoma and the plugs on teh Fj case are different than the tacoma. Perhaps i am an idiot and havent found the thread post that tells me what to do here but can someone give me some insight as to what needs to happen for the indicator lights to work properly on the dash and what to do with the plugs? I am deleting the ADD system altogether and have all parts here but for some reason overlooked the plug differences between my 2012 tacoma and my 2010 fj case.

 

Take the two sensors off the Tacoma case and use them on fj case. I left the third sensor in fj case and cut the wires. Don’t remember which sensor goes we’re tho

Passenger side of the case is 4 high sensor. Driver side is 4 low.

Hey 6 gear since you generally have the answers , what is a stock 2nd gen final gear ratio on a 5 speed 1st gear in 4lo ?

 

3.954X2.57 = ........ 10.162
