Papadave, I didn't realize you have this product for sell already. I think I may want to buy this set up. It comes with installation procedures and everything? As much as I do like to build things, I have too much going on, and if I try to figure this out, I might spend more money due to trial and error, and I'll be waiting another year or so before I can finish. Do you have install videos as well? Thanks! I'm glad you actually got this setup selling now. Are costs up to date on the website?

Yes the website is accurate though we have a waitlist currently. We have been inundated with sales. We have an install video coming out shortly but it is pretty easy to do, or if you pick up in the bay area of California we will do the install for you.

I'm located in SoCal, but may consider a trip to your area. How long is the current wait for the PullKitchen? If we want to reserve a spot, do we put down a deposit of partial payment, and pay the rest later after shipping?

There’s currently not a deposit necessary for the waitlist. Go to www.pullkitchen.com/order and fill out the form to start. Thanks!

    Hi PapaDave,
So I think I'm finally going to start pulling the trigger on the rack, and hopefully eventually a Pull Kitchen. Quick question on the pullout cargo tray. Did you end up bolting the two Plano boxes to the cargo tray? Pretty much like compressing two washers with a nut and bolt to keep the boxes from moving, or did you secure them another way? Also, do you have any recommendations on tire brands for off-road? I'm looking to get All weather type, but there are so many manufacturers, and not sure which would be the best quality to go with. Thanks!

The Plano totes fit perfectly in the little grooves of the cargo tray and I have an elastic cargo net that I stretch over the top of it to hold everything in securely. I even put a little lock on the cargo tray so it cannot slide out without my knowledge so it would be very difficult to steal anything off of my rack. If you were to permanently fix the totes in the tray it would be really high in the air and hard to get stuff in and out of.

There are so many different opinions on tires it’s always nuts, I’ve had Toyo AT2’s and currently have Toyota C/T tires that I like a lot. They have a good snow rating, a higher rubber compound to do better on gravel roads, and they have worn very nicely. I will likely get C/T’s again

    Hi @Papadave418,
Another quick question on your alide set up where you keep your Domestic Fridge. I saw how you secured the two rails to the truck bed. Did you bolt down those rails through the truck bed? Meaning, did you drill holes into your truck bed, push the bolt through, and have washer, nut, lock nut underneath to secure it? Or did you just use machine screws, and just screwed the rails in place? How has the rail held up when you fully extend that half of the slide? Thanks again!

I drilled holes and did screw washer lock nut. It has held up fine. My company is prototyping a better version with Rivnuts to secure the rails

Thanks Dave! Before I start drilling through my truck bed, just wanted to make sure. I'm trying to do a half slide for now to be able to slide my cooler, and bins. I'm glad you're still kicking ass with your company. Wishing you continued success. Thanks!

Good morning @Papadave418, I finally received my DB cover, and will be installing soon. For that from lock you had to relocate 1.5 inches back to accommodate the cargo tray support, was it 1.5 inch from the center of the locking bolt original position? Thanks!

Missed this, yes 1.5” from center to center. I did this as I have the long bed rack on my short bed truck. A short bed rack likely wouldn’t need the lock moved, AND if you don’t have the cargo tray then you don’t need to move the lock. The cargo tray on the long bed rack is what conflicts with the lock.

This is my @KB Voodoo cargo rack in action! Well I almost fall on my fat tushie because the little plastic handle I added to the tray snapped. I was down in the rut pulling uphill and down too much on my DIY handle. This is from my trip in Baja, pretty funny

    You definitely redeemed yourself! Haha
Thanks again for your inspiration on your build. I finally added some extra storage space on the cargo slide, similar to what you did. I took it to a local shop to have it powder coated. Next will be the bed slide. I may pick your brain a little once I get into it. Stay safe!

Thanks Dave! I was playing with aluminum brazing on this one, but added rivets for overall strength. Not that I'll be putting heavy stuff on it anyways. Thanks again!

So I went to Baja back in May and halfway through my trip realized that my tailgate was not staying closed very well. I thought something was wrong with my latch but then realized that my bed walls were separating. I did not think that would happen with the DB cover and the rack, but it did. I added AllPro bedside strengtheners because of their low clearance to allow my PullKitchen and bedslide to pass over them. I had drilled out the top bolt and replaced it with a stout bolt and lock nut awhile ago, works great. 6BA53FE0-DC48-4B60-9E0A-AD8A33A8F7F0.jpg46A5522D-2552-4C26-BDBB-D613B7299BFC.jpgA35CB330-698C-4123-AB68-89CF038B9533.jpgFFCBE4C4-1C89-4567-AC95-596F3B257BE2.jpg

    Hi @Papadave418 ,
I'm glad you were able to resolve that issue before it got any worst. I remember reading several threads back, and from reaching out to KB Voodoo that bed stiffeners weren't needed because the rack holds everything together. It was even recommended to remove them. I'm a believer of overbuilding when necessary, so I kept my Total Chaos bed stiffeners on, and haven't had a problem. Your solution came out great, and hope you don't have further issues.

I also see that you upgraded your bedslide. It looks nice! Does your Dometic still fit well under there? Would you mind if I bugged for a picture of how you mounted that slide to your bed? I'm assuming you used the same t-track that you had on your older one, using plusnuts to hold it in place? Did you use an aluminum sheet as your platform? I think with those 80/20's you can attach a t-bolt on one side in order to slip it through a t-track, right? Thanks again Dave! You're ideas are always the best!

For this iteration I used a c channel again in the center and anchored it with a T nut sliding. This slide has an HDPE base which slides pretty well on the composite bed, but would only be applicable for tonneau cover applications due to HDPE’s tendency to swell in sunlight. My Dometic 75 slides under nicely with about a 1/4” of clearance.
