    It's more than this.
There are a lot of factors making Colorado and the Front Range such a hot market right now, but very few people are moving here for legal marijuana. If someone was purely looking for legal recreational consumption, they would also consider the several other states where it is legal.

Right but we were first and that drove a lot of the early influx of people. I bought originally in 2012 and after pot was legalized the market blew up and has not stopped since. Today you are correct that there are other options

I can't speak for all Texans, but there's no shortage of ease of weed consumption down there. Most of the folks (almost all, in my experience) have been following DoD jobs and related Tech fields. That's why I came up. And I was tired of the flatlands and heat. In fact, from a more conservative TX mindset, moving to CO where pot is legal was actually a negative consideration.

I had zero intention of associating Texas/Texans with weed, just ran out of room on Jake's photo to poke fun at him.

But anyway, here's a photo for Texas:

So legalized weed is scary or something? What's the negative connotations around it? You aren't held down at the border (or DMV when you register your vehicle(s)) and forced to consume.

I don't partake, I just want to understand the thinking if it's beyond the brainwashing from the War on Drugs. :infantry:
