Westin steps are nice if you don’t need the sliders. They are square tube, and I think look sweet! My profile pic shows them on my ‘19. Just a different look compared to the round tube steps.

Go with HAVOC you will not be disappointed. My 5'4" wife loves the fact that your foot won't slide through unlike many others available!

Have the Predators. I think they look good and the cost was reasonable along with a very easy install. However, I am not sure I have ever actually put my foot on them. They do a great job of collecting snow and slush though.

The easiest way to access the roof is by opening a door and standing on the door sill, I do this when I clean my truck... I've used my nerf bars but can't reach as far as when I use the door sills.

Besides being a daily driver the main way I use my truck is to surfish. What I'm trying to avoid with the steps is having the cabin filled with sand because I have to get inside the truck every time I want to stow my rods. Till I get my hands on a swing out cool rack I'll be storing my rods on my roof rack

Understandable. I'm looking for a new set of bars, for my kids I think the step-downs are the way to go for me, But like I said I have stepped on mine to get to my roof to clean it and I can say I wish it would have been a little wider. I personally think you would be happy with an oval nerf bar, something like this: https://realtruck.com/p/aries-6-oval-black-step-bars/v/toyota/tacoma/2016/

I had predator steps that came on the truck. I swapped them out for sliders after I ripped one of the steps off. Personally I love the look, functionality, and protection of the sliders. However, my girlfriend doesn’t like the sliders at all, because they’re not as functional as a “step” as the predators were.

I think Real Truck and Running Board Warehouse are the same company. In any case, I found them great to do business with. Nice people. And when I had a problem they shipped a new set out right away.

I have the Ionic 5 inch ovals. Love them. Never had a problem with rust. I figured I would throw them on, get a few years out of them and that would give me time to decide if I actually need sliders. So far, I haven't. I do some off roading but not rock crawling.

    Highly recommend ...

Man, I really wish I hadn't seen this

Looks really good. My buddy has the OEM ones on his RAM and i'm always telling him the are old man steps. These look way better.

I see they are $1500 on the AMP site. Mind if I ask how much to install them?

I'm actually a Chrysler Ram Jeep tech. I was hesitant about installing them in my neck of the woods (the Adirondacks) but the Ram, which to me looks like Amp Research is the supplier of these step sides have really held up well. I won't install standard types because they are snow and ice catchers. I am really happy with the install. I did it myself. Took about 4-5 hours. I also took some steps to insulate and seal the motors and connections from the weather.

By chance did you get a minute to measure the ground clearance under the step support bracket?
