I knew a group that spent the morning drinking at the bar, and then went and gave their presentation drunk  I guess it turned out okay...

Go Kings! They are looking good for such a young team. They will be back on top by next season.

Had an interview today. IT support position at a non-profit counseling organization. They’re expanding to on-site IT instead of using all contractors. 45K salary and I don’t drive my personal vehicle around town all day long. In-person interview went well.

Other job I have a chance at pays 37K. It’s an IT support contractor that will have me driving my personal vehicle all over town for different clients. They require you maintain a few different certificates and everyone is usually burnt out after a year. Interview was a one way recording and didn’t go great. Not sure if I’ll get a follow up.

It's a line we all cross eventually, though I commend you for holding off as long as possible.

1st one sounds much more promising, not having to put wear and tear on your personal vehicle is a big plus

    Second one sounds awful.

On the first one, did they say what kind of infrastruture you're maintaining? Server room or individual desktops? If they're moving in house, that might be a good opportunity to set the direction.

Don't know what the fuss was about for some people and this whole REAL ID thing.

Did the whole process within 10 minutes; this included me getting a new license issued to me as I haven't had one in over 13 years for CA.

Had been using my out of state license since I was able to renew it online some years ago.

If you wish to travel yes.

I haven't had a need until recently we planned a trip in June; flying.

Got my docs uploaded, and got issued a 'confirmation' number which basically put me inside the DMV office without waiting in the long line that was present when I got there.

Got called up 2nd while I waited and provided the docs I uploaded as they just need to see them in person.

Handed them my out of state license, paid $32 bucks, got my picture taken, and all done!

I just wish they printed your DL right then and there like Illinois and many other states...

I've never had any travel issues with the old license. Out of Country flying you just use a passport. The real ID has never been brought up in the airport.

    For CA you need it.

I figured I'd just have a CA Real ID since I am a resident afterall. Just posting how quick and easy it was yet I've read in other threads that the process was a pain in the ass :notsure:

My son got his real quick too. I think the real issue for most is the required docs when you go to the DMV. Most people don't have a birth certificate that isn't a copy and whatever the other docs are.
