Im thinking it may be two separate problems. CV & Needle bearing.

I bet that is the pads shifting if it only happens when doing from drive to reverse backing into a spot, or when first pulling out of a spot which is essentially going from reverse when you parked it to drive when you pulled out.

Could well be the needle bearing. CVs all looked good when we were doing our work, and torqued to spec, so if the CV went bad, it might be the U joint under the boot or something we didn't touch.

Thats what I'm thinking, I think its the joint and im guessing the lift exasperated the problem.

Sounds like the dreaded 2nd gen drivetrain vibration after suspension lift issue. The ECGS front diff bushing fixes that.

On both my former 2nd gen and current 1st gen, the sway bar end link nuts won't stay tight longer than a few weeks. They make that same noise. I'd check those first.

Even though it sounds like its coming from the front right wheel? Like I said, I had a seized/sticking caliper so I wonder if it damaged the CV joint?

I forgot how this drove me crazy for a long time before I figured out it was just brake pads shifting.
Does it sound like this @Kpatt9?

Side note ... do any of you sell much on KSL classifieds? Every time I list something lately I get at least a couple of scammers texting me with the “I’ll send you a code to make sure you’re a real person” thing.
I just send them this as a reply and it shuts them up. Feel free to use.

I don't get it... What do the scammers get out of what they do? They always agree to the price without seeing whatever is for sale, and say that they will have it picked up... and then want your PayPal number. So #1, who would sell anything to someone that hasn't seen what they are buying? And #2 I have no idea how PayPal works, so if they get your number do they then use it to buy stuff for themselves?

And sometimes they get persistent. What do they get out of it?

That one is getting used less and less where they say "my shipper will arrange to pick it up" and stuff. The latest is the Google Voice verification code scam, where they have Google send you the code, then if you tell the scammer the code they hijack your number. It's all a big racket.

Boils down to a few things:

    1. the "I'll send someone to get it", usually is the initial stage of the "overpayment ploy". I "accidentally" or even by admission send you a payment of say $40 on a 20 dollar item, and go oops, just give $20 to my guy or wire it back to me. You send $20 real dollars back, but turns out that their $40 wire was bogus in the first place. They just spent $0 for $20 profit. Usually done on mass scale, so they'll net decent money. It's literally their day job.

2a. "Give me your paypal number" usually really means your email address or phone number. If you have a password cracker, only a matter of time before you can bust it open. The newer ones work super quick too. Now they have access to your ability to deploy cash from your bank account. Your money gets sent to a paypal account linked to an offshore account. They receive it and withdraw it, your SOL. Can also be used to go after other stuff since everything from BoA to your walgreens account uses that as one half of your login credentials.

2b. Alternatively/additionally, they could be compiling a data block. Lists of active CC numbers, paypal accounts, email and phone numbers, etc get bought and sold on the dark web literally all the time. They're worth something to someone, even if its just other scammers.

    3. "Sometimes they get persistent" : You'd be amazed at the number of people that cave under the slightest sign of confrontation. May only work 1/10 or 1/100 times, but if it works, a follow-up email netted you $$$ for a likely canned reply they copy pasted in 3 seconds.

Thanks for the heads up on the new scam. I haven't sold anything for over a year so hadn't heard about it.

I still don't get how they get anything out of it. "Hijack" a number? Does that mean they steal your phone number and use it for something?
