Its funny Ca makes it an option to get your real ID, when I switched over to NV it was all they do. they made it cut and dry

 

Ah, makes sense on the birth certificate part; just assumed everyone would have theirs. Mine dates back to 1996 or so?

Other documents are just proof of residence such as utility bill, phone, etc.

 

But if you have the old one they don't seem to care. I haven't had a chance to dig up my Birth Certificate to get the Real ID so I just keep putting it off.

 

I guess with covid, and them being so back logged they just don't care now.

 

Right now they’re individual desktops/laptops. At my old job we were keeping physical desktops for certain departments but obviously moving towards the cloud for other things.

The lady interviewing me wasn’t IT so I was limited on my questions. I’ll want some more information if they end up offering me the position or another interview Monday.

 

yeah before Covid hit there was all this talk about how the Real ID deadline was approaching and everyone needed to do it...but I haven't heard anything about it since covid. I'm betting they are going to push the deadline back quite a bit, which is good because I have also put it off and don't have all the documents handy lol.

My driver's license still has an address on it that I haven't lived at in 8 years, and I've sent the forms in twice to get it changed. CA DMV is useless.

 

I got my star when I moved to AZ. Before that, CA never said shit about it. I didn't learn about it until moving here.

 

I know a few people in CA and NV who are driving on expired Drivers license because they cant get appointments. I was talking to the local sheriff a few months ago and they said they were not told to enforce any violations because people could not get the dmv appointments

 

Got mine when my license expired mid-Covid. I renewed online so it's still the picture from when I was 16. Thankfully I never get carded because no one would believe it was my license.

For the longest time it was 3 months out and no walk-ins, not sure how it's going in the new location.

I made an appointment at the Carson City DMV back in the beginning of September for November 5th. It was for 3 days before California DL expired. I walked up at 8am and was done by 830am. I brought a books worth of paperwork because I was changing the trucks over also. Last thing I wanted was to go back.
