I’m very late to this party but that is a very nice looking single cab , hey I’m curious if you have had any issues with using the rivnuts to install your customized roof rack .

No issues at all. Knock on wood. Lots of sealant and time for it to set was the key I think.

It’s from a double cab behind the rear seat. Fits great in a regular cab. I have one in both trucks!

I have a stock 06 single cab 2.7 L , you done an amazing job on your truck . I just recently did my first mod , I did the FJ t case swap , it went smooth and I could be happier about how it functions and how it looks , I also did the add delete on the front axle , now there is no electronics controlling the 4 wheel drive .

All parts with a used t case that came with the shifter around $1200 , all parts except t case we’re new , I’m sure you could save a little by finding used but new made it a cleaner install and I didn’t have to scrub grease of of old front diff parts, it was really pretty easy , no drive line mods required, expand the hole in the floor , I’ve seen what you have done on your you would have no trouble .

I’ve been eyeing this mod for a long time lol but 250k miles and no issues on my 4wd system makes me hesitate. Maybe it’s a don’t fix what’s not broken type deal for me right now.

My actuator was bad I had just bought the truck and it took a shit right before a big snow storm , so I just decided to just handle it and never deal with a bad actuator ever again . I got a great deal on the truck it’s a 06 single cab sr5 4x4 5spd , 89k original miles , bought it from the original owner $8500 . Couldn’t pass it up .

I’ve had my 2011 reg cab 4x4 for almost a decade and will never let it go. One of the most versatile off road trucks around. Has near 50/50 weight distribution which is crazy for any truck in general. Literally pulled a loaded box truck out of a mud puddle on the side of the road with it today. Our little 4bangers are bulletproof.

how hard was your roof rack installation? I just had one of my weather strips fly off my truck and I am thinking about doing a roof rack instead of just putting down more weather strips lol. Also planning on making a gun/rifle rack for behind the seats. I have a lot of plans for my truck. But the roof rack is going to be my next mod since I deliver auto parts for Toyota for a living and I really need more places to put things lol

I'm also looking to get a roof rack on the regular cab, any reason why you chose the hooke road? What size riv-nuts did you use? I've got a bunch of M8s on hand, I'm sure 8 of those would be plenty.
