    They can be a pain but it’s got to be done! One of the most underrated muscle groups IMO

    You got this! If you can break it off the floor you most likely already had the horsepower to make it happen- from my personal experience at least...

    Probably my biggest regret in my athletic career was doing too much on the deadlifts. I have 3 slipped discs and a pinched nerve now. Left leg is much weaker than my right as a result.

    I used to have a tight lower back after deadlift days. I took some time to work on bands, form, speed and hamstring strength. After a max effort workout last night, I have zero pain or tightness today.

    you can always get hurt while lifting but form really can go a long way.

    Dude I want it so bad :laugh: my deadlift is trash compared to others in my weight class so I’m trying to play catch up.

    Once I hit it tho... it’s just gonna be “okay now let’s get to 600” :laugh: oh the cruel cycle

    probably true. I'm a recovering crossfit junkie. I only do lifting on the offseason now, lighter weights, and range of motion work. Biking is my main gig now.

    Attempted a 405 squat today for the first (and second) time. Failed both times. All my warmups moved extremely fast. Think I may have just gotten mind fucked by the number.

    You did for sure.

    Also why do you squat so wide? Also why don't you root your feet cause your knees start to cave and makes me think weak abducters....

    Edit: really, why does no one root their feet? Is that not standard instruction?

    I used to squat shoulder width. It was fine for a long time, then one day my knees randomly started hurting. I started squatting wide and it went away. So, I’ve squatted that wide ever since. :notsure:
