Most of the engine Compartment parts I did not mess with the in cab parts it was not in the way.

In theory if the parts were sourced again it would plug in and be good to go.

Sometime as the ABS brakes went away as well.

So I can just unplug it all and rip it out. How to I reroute the throttle cable?

Seems like a lot of work when you could always just not push the button.

Unless he's looking for that extra under hood space.. I've thought about deleting mine so I could use that space for an air compressor

Are you maybe thinking of the ABS module? I guess I never think of the cruise control really taking up much space under the hood.

Nah I mean the cruise control.. the ABS takes up more space for sure but if you go the route of replacing the 4x4 windshield washer reservoir with a reservoir from a 2wd tacoma it takes up that ABS space in a 4x4 truck

    ok, I gotcha.

I replaced my washer reservoir, too. It fits pretty well in front of the ABS module, but it doesn't do me any favors for putting a compressor in there, though.

Unplug it and go for a drive. If all is fine, just take it out. I doubt you'll run into trouble, it was optional anyway.

Good call. I tried undoing it around the throttle body but my gas peddle went limp

Hmm. Dunno. I don't have cruise, but there is a spot for it next to where the gas pedal cable connects. Are there two cables wrapped around that drum or just one?

If it's a 96, just take the cover off the cc module and route the cable from the pedal to the throttle body then you can pull out the cc module

I yanked it out of my old one when it broke, I never use it in the truck really. But yeah if it's working it's pretty unobtrusive

If he's just gonna be wheeling, its just taking up space.

Or maybe hes like me and doesn't really use it anyway. I dunno. Who cares.
