I have recently bought a set of 17” 2018 4runner wheels with the stock 265’s on them. I’m wanting to put 33x12.50’s on them but from what I’ve seen you can’t put 12.50’s on a 7.5” wide wheel. Is this true? I’m debating 305/70’s, 33x12.50’s, or 285/75’s, but would really like the wider 12.5” look. Please leave any info you have, thanks!

You can put them on the wheel if you wish but they’re not gonna clear the uca.

    Even with 1.5” spacers?

It will depend on current offset. It will help though.

    8-10" width is best.

Yes, you can with some caveats. I am running 12.50 Wides on 2010 4runner wheels. 1.5" spacers are required to prevent the sidewall from rubbing the UCA. Chain tire stores like Les Schwab, Discount/Americas tire, Big O, Sams Club, Costco, etc will NOT mount the tires due to wheel width and probably deny warranty claims if they found out thats what they were run on. You need to go to an independent shop.
