    Hey!20210311_082105.jpg
    I have method con6 rims with 275/70/17 ko2's
Old man emu/ bilstien 2.5" lift.
    SPC uca's
I struggled to have my truck aligned for a long time. 3 shops later and a small hole in my wallet. That was almost 2 years ago. Yesterday i was at Toyota for some service. They told me i can have a free alignment check and they would report back to me. They went ahead and aligned it stating it was out. My steering wheel for sure does not seem 100% centered anymore. I also believe i have too much toe now.
Can anyone with a similar set up or knowledge on the subject chime in here

I have lifetime alignment with Firestone and they can't do jack with the SPC's so I went to Toyota to align it - however, my Toyota dealer has a few techs who are off-road enthusiasts and know the SPC uca's well. My advice is to get with the service tech, give him the SPC instructions and pay the extra exorbitant dealer prices to have them spend the extra time aligning it properly. That way they'll know what to expect next time. That or find a shop with a knowedgable tech who is willing to learn the SPC UCA specs. It's basically have the computer align it to spec, then fine tune with the SPC's.

Bottom line is, if it looks right, and drives straight without more than a veeeery slight veer off to either side, then I wouldn't worry about it unless you start to see uneven tread wear.

EDIT - SPC's are specifically designed to offset caster to accommodate larger tires so caster might very well be off when you get aligned.

It's near perfect, your rear axle is a little off, but nothing major.

I'd be happy if that was my truck.

I max camber and set toe high with bigger tires. They push outwards as you drive.

Your BFG's aren't doing you any favours.

Find yourself a offroad shop and have them align it.

SPC has a list of both certified installers as well as shops that can complete alignments for their products. Depending on where you live, you should be able to find a place to get these numbers further into alignment if you are still unhappy. Not sure where you live, however, this might help you find the right place. Check out the SPC website link:

Just do the alignment yourself at home. There is a DIY on the forums on how to do so, SPC ucas make the alignment at home even easier.

They charged you for that? Wow. Not the most impressive toe set by any means. Nothing wrong with camber or caster. Obviously red because of the UCAs, but your toe was high meaning your wheels were pointed slightly inward. They brought it back very slightly and you are sitting on the absolute high end of the spec. I would not be happy with that. Matter of fact, I would probably be pissed. They should have set your toe somewhere around .06-.08. You are going to be wearing the outside edges of your tires with them leaving it to high. Technically they can tell you that it is in spec which it is because it is so broad, but if they adjusted it, it should be spot on.

I really don't like they screen shot printout they gave you. They do it because they don't want anyone to question their work. This is what your printout should look like - bf73584b-5dad-4bcc-a77a-b09a6ace7d50-jpg.3713352 (1280×960) (twstatic.net)

Edit. Haaaaa, now I see what they did. They set your toe equal on both sides. What a f'ing idiot. Your steering wheel was not off before, it is now for sure. Let me guess, turned to the right to go straight? Please go back and raise all kinds of hell for that nonsense.

@tacman19 Hey Zim, you see this?

Can you link to this write up? I would be very curious to see how to do this, especially since I am going to be installing some SPC UCAs here soon.

NO. Don't waste your time. Alignments are not something that are DIY. While technically you can, you shouldn't unless you know exactly what you are doing and have the proper tools. I hate having to have someone do any work for me, but alignments and auto tranny rebuilds are two things I would never do in my garage.

I agree with you, and that's what I was thinking myself. However, with all the yo-yo chain shops doing alignments I have had my fair share of issues as well with getting an alignment done.

For @EastVanTaco - personally, I would call the shop and ask for a partial or full refund if you are unhappy with the final outcome.

You don't but can sometimes shift it if its bad enough. This truck I would likely try to loosen and shift it to get it closer to 0.

LOL 30 bucks in tools (a digital angle finder) and maybe another 20 in materials for some straight edges and some simple math will be better than 99% of your shitty alignement techs who just toe n go.

Ill do my at home alignment and take it for a free alignment check at big brand... figures calculated have always been nearly identical.

Needless to say alignments are 100% DIYable.

Uh, no. You mean more like $300 in tools. You have to have a set of turnplates. A decent set is going to cost you $250.

the 2 bucks worth of 4 vinyl 12x12in smooth floor tiles with 20 cents worth of grease between them work just as good as a set of turnplates.

i have actually done multiple alignments of my own in my garage further backed by fancy laser alignment machines printouts....But hey... what do i know
