There is a few posts about the passenger seat shake but no solution so far. I have the fold flat, table back passenger seat and it has A LOT of wobble. Every little bump in the road makes it shake. It’s just the back part of the seat, but I can move it forward and back about an inch. Did anyone else ever have this problem? Did you find a solution?

Since it just the table back that you never use why don’t you glue the sucker in the closed position or put some soft foam in there to take up the slack?

Even new tacomas do this, a tire rebalance usually fixes this when I notice it.

The hindge for the fold flat seat was a bit loose. There was no way of just tightening anything together so I brought out the welder. No more table seat, but also to more annoying shake. You can still adjust the angle of the back rest.

I never knew that was even a thing, much less a feature, until I read this thread.

I used it once. Bought something, threw it in the bed. On the way home I made a unplanned stop. Rather than leave it in the bed to be stolen, I did the fold flat thing and got it to fit back there.

I don’t have a shake noise but there’s some weld practice plates in a under seat storage bin that rattles and makes noise.

I’ve never used mine, just get the constant reminder I have it by the rattling noise the past few years. Stupid idea by Toyota imho.
