    How is everyone doing?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a transmission cooler for a 2008 4runner?

Any of you guys running 34s? I’ve got 33s now and I wouldn’t mind going larger but I’m not trying to regear.

I trimmed a good bit and took off the lip on the bottom, too. I bent and welded back the support brackets on the inside to keep things sturdy.

Before I cut the ARB, but after cutting the fender

Damn that was a lot of cutting, I just don’t know if I wanna cut that much off that bumper or swap bumpers. I wanna check your truck one day besides mine being long bed pretty similar.

I think I can fit them fine and I feel pretty good on 33s after my tune. I just wonder if 34s are too much.

Haha yeah it was a bit. I thought about selling it for something more slim, but it wasn’t worth the effort. I’ve yet to bulldoze it on a trail, but I push shit around with it when I’m lazy around our land haha. When I turn around at our gate I know I’ve pulled up far enough when I “tap” an oak tree with it haha

This one will do just fine for this set up and I like the classic design of an ARB. It may get in the way in a less fixable way in the future for long travel, but we will see.

Do you want to go 35’s in the future?

I debated 34’s pretty hard, but knew I’d eventually want 35’s so I just went for it. I don’t know how the third gen does on 33’s, but my second gen was totally fine with them and 34’s probably wouldn’t be much different if you kept it light. That being said, I enjoy 35’s and gears way better than any other set up, but it wasn’t cheap and takes some commitment

That’s the kind of insight I was looking for.
I don’t hear of many people talking about 34s.

some well built trucks out there. Giving me inspiration for whatever I build next for sure.

let’s be real though, this guy is the real MVP. Finished this thing just before hammers, drove it there, raced it, flipped it, drove it home, and drove it to work on Monday (it’s his daily).

Yeah I follow him too hahaha. But finishing it before hammers it wasn't a ground up build, he was making some changes but that thing has been in a constant evolution. But he was fitting in working on it around working on customers trucks. He's got a feature with TerraCrew on YT.

I want to say he was also the only non trailered rig and only DD in the field. But he's already going to thrash to fix some things and be more competitive than this year.

Takes a crazy person to do what he did, lol. I had fun following his progress on race day.
