Yes. The silicone tube is smooth and the install eliminates to resonator box so there is a direct sealed connection between the airbox and the intake.

I have not noticed a + or - as far as fuel consumption. Sometime I accelerate a little quicker than I use to but that is because you get a good growl from it when above 3000rpm.

Added two folding crates against the back of the bed, held in place with one of those expanding bars i had from my old truck and added a short piece of insulation foam to avoid rattling....

they take almost no space at all as most of their width fits underneath the bed rail

Got the 3D printed header rail caps back from the local library. One fits perfectly, the other one is very loose. Only cost me $3 and a 10 minute drive to the library so not too bummed.

@oostroma you definitely provided some good inspiration! I love that dark blue color on your skid plate.

Also good point on choosing the correct paint. I took the TRD letters off fresh out of the box (so no road grime on them) and gave the front face a thorough wipe-down with alcohol. I just used some flat black "camo" spray paint that I had laying around in my garage, seems to have stuck pretty well but time will tell! I gave them 4-5 coats of matte clear enamel on top of the base coats to provide a little more protection. I also masked the backsides with wax paper to minimize any over spray on the adhesive. Here's hoping the letters don't pop off or have the paint flake off the first time I go through some brush! :fingerscrossed:

Been hearing a sound in the front end for about a week. Thought I had a wheel bearing going out. Anyhow I came out of Walmart this morning and saw this torx head screw on the inside edge of my front passenger tire. Was lucky it was in the lug of the tire. Tires don't even have 7,000 miles on them yet. (OEM tires) Had the tire shop extract the screw in case I needed to have it plugged I was at their shop. Lucky they and I didn't see a leak. Going to pick up a lottery ticket when I go into town for lunch in a bit. :) And the screw in my tire was making the noise I thought was a wheel bearing going out. LOL! Sounded just like one going out on my old Ford I had back in the day.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
You could try a punch like this: It made clean holes in the rain channel cover when I put my roof rack on. Same one an HD is $18.

My ‘18 GTI leaked so bad that VW eventually bought it back. On vwvortex I discovered a run of 26 cars that had a bad seam weld. I guess I was one of the “lucky” ones. Smh

I have this type of kit for making holes. If you are drilling into thin plastic though run the cutter in reverse, otherwise it will just ripe through the plastic and make the hole edges rough.
