How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

I just did. Apparently the dealer has the order accepted but is waiting to be notified of the build date. It’s up to the factory since my build is a one off apparently.

 

Update on my wait.. deposit made on 2/23/21, called today for update, was told they had no update. No build date or anything but that " things will move quickly once the order is fulfilled "

So the wait continues with no projected end in sight.

 

Now I’m curious what you are getting....

 

I put a binder / deposit down on 12/31/20. I got a call at 4 weeks to tell me that the order was approved, got a call this week that the build date had been pushed back to 3/24. They said a delivery date would be a couple weeks after that, with a better estimate after the build was completed.

 

I was told delivery is 3 weeks from build date.

 

That is right on the money, given my 2021 DCLB OR build, and when it reached the dealer. Dealer gets a "transit" on their computer, and they know truck left the factory headed to them.

In BC. Still waiting. Order/allocation confirmed Dec 23 for MGM Premium Sport DCLB. Initial delivery estimate March 23ish. Window still Mar 19-29 as of yesterday.

Didn't realize Tacomas are like Glocks - you buy one and feel immediately compelled to customize the snot out of 'em.

Several moments of weakness on this site and I've picked up H9 bulbs, DD Stealth Light bar, DD Fog Maxes, DD SSC2 flush mount sports, BAK MX4, TacoGarage DMM, TackForm phone holder, AnytimeBackUpCamera kit + a bunch of his switches, kmorgan3's dashlight tap, Total Chaos bed stiffeners, puppypunter's brake light tap and am on the list for daveesa's LP light DIR harness. Okay, maybe more than several moments of weakness.

Have promised myself I can wait for possession before things like tailgate seals, add'l switches, a bunch of meso customs things (switch plate, fuse cover, start button etc), mud flaps, spotter mirrors, screenprotect, window visors etc are added. And of course wheels & tires will be on top of the list (265/70 17 Cooper AT3 4S's for the rain forest FSRs, not sure on wheels yet).

Think I'll justify more things when the land border crossings re-open (have taken a huge hit on UPS customs charges and cross border charges).

 

Mine just got pushed back another again, I'm looking at March 23-27 now. Where did you order the MX4 from?

 

Partengine canada. Year end sale, free shipping and no BC PST made it too good to pass on.

 

Any issues ordering from there? Their feedback doesn’t seem all that favorable, although I do realize happy customers rarely leave reviews.
How long did it take to arrive?

 

Ordered on Nov. 21.
Allocation went through on Dec. 15.
Just picked it up on Saturday, Mar. 13.

 

No issues at all - ordered Dec 31, arrived Jan 7.

Not exactly the same thing, but may explain some of the delays.

When I leased my 21 OR back in Feb, I waited over a month for the dealer to be able to find the one that I wanted. He finally sourced one headed for another local dealership and worked out a swap.

He told me that Toyota rarely puts the Tacoma on any kind of lease deal and the current $239/mo. deal was playing havoc with existing stocks as well as pre-orders.

Not sure if that (partially) explains the delay in factory orders or not. But I'm sure it doesn't help things.
