    hey guys,

i am having problems with my 50T leafs staying in alignment and i think it is because of the U bolt eliminator kit. i in no way mean to bash on engage but the way the elimintator kit is built there is no side to side movement support of the leaf pack. a few of the leafs are sliding out of alignment and it makes me:confused:

    ill post pics later today

I've got the SUA kit from ruff stuff (don't buy it, pos) with 50T springs, it's a little more supportive but the leaves still splay out a little. If it bugs you droop out the rear end and grab a hammer. Don't forget to retorque your ubolts, they stretch quite a bit when new also.

No I never ran a u-bolt eliminator kit like yours. I ran these plates prior to my axle swap and they worked great. I dont really see the benefits of a u-bolt eliminator kit. Most race trucks dont run something like that so I didnt either. Now I just use my axle truss/plating to hold down my u-bolts.

Before on top and now below.

Maybe he should just get his kit re-done and he will have no issues like you have experienced.

I look forward to what you guys come up with for a roof top light set-up. It could have been done so much better than my botched attempt. I should have had it built from scratch.:(

Yea my leafs are kind of crooked, i just have to re-align them and retorque them. After a few trips out, they should be fully settled and not knock out of alignment anymore.

That's looks scary to me. Could totally be the picture but just material looks thin.

Not true. The rear end on the PLOW was built by Paul at Zero Tolerance Fabrication. Everything was beautifully welded by Paul not Hassim. It was then modified by Hassim to support links. But U-bolt eliminator setup was built by Paul. The design is Completely different.
Here is the ubolt eliminator on the plow. Does not look the same to me.

I built my own eliminator setup and have not had any issues at all.

i was telling mark (not sure if he is on here) first off, those plates on the u-bolt eliminator kit are too thin for what you are doing, you can see in some pics just from tightening them in the shop they were bending, mark is the guy engage did the cantilever setup on as a prototype or first install (whatever you want to call it) anyways, use a thicker plate and its simple to fix your leaf problem (twisting) just go to lowes and pick up some 1 or 1.5" flat stock. cut it the length of your lower u-bolt eliminator plate and weld it on that plate just on the side of the leafs, this will help keep your leafs in line.

This will fix your prob. Good luck.

    Thanks
On the bottom plate I have some flat stock on the side to keep the leafs from twisting.I been wanting to reinforce the bottom plate so it doesn't flex/bend but being a lazy ass. But again if i bend that bottom plate that is 3/8 im sure i have broken leafs or bolts. Here is a better picture to see everything as I was building it. I got my design on the eliminator for John that just posted above me.

After my second time out my eliminator kit is fine. I dont see how OP broke his kit after on jump. In2nite and I run ours pretty hard but then again Hassim installed our kit as opposed to OP. OP jus make sure u torque the center pin down good and everything else, good luck
