Fox Life!!! Anything Related to Fox Suspension

Quick question. I'm currently running JBA STD UCA with Maxtrac spindles, and can't seem to get the alignment right. I'm assuming I might need better UCAs. Do you have any recommendations? I had the dealership try twice and they couldn't get me aligned. I have my C/Os set at zero pretty much.

 

We don't have much experience with aligning Tacomas with JBA UCA or Maxtrac Spindles. Could be a few different things.

 

just to give my 2 cents. I have Maxtrac spindles with fox 2.5s set with zero threads showing and stock UCAs. My alignment is perfect.

Are your JBA UCAs the STD high caster ones?

 

Yes

 

I may consider rebuilding my stock UCAs and throwing them on to see if I can get a better alignment.

 

Or take it to a real alignment shop lol

 

Which is incredibly difficult to find, apparently. My alignment is off on my 2014 after just six months from being aligned at a place that's supposedly pro. I'll give them another shot but that's it.

 

I wouldn't suggest that because of the change in suspension and steering geometry. My 2010 has Maxtrac spindles, Icon 2.5 c/o, and Dirt King UCAs. Never an issue with alignment.

For those of us who have purchased from you in the past, are you able to view previous orders for details on how the purchased shocks were valved?

 

@AccuTune Offroad I have a question. I currently have these rear shocks from you guys FOX-985-26-118 which are for 2-3 inchs of lift. I’m currently in the search for a new leaf pack and I’m looking at the deaver J66 pack. Would I still be able to run these shocks or would I have to get new ones?

 

Anyone got some input here on Fox 2.0 coilovers vs Bilstein 6112's? I've heard good things about the Fox, but am concerned about the smaller size from the Bilsteins that I'm running now (stock from the T/X Baja package). Would love any insight y'all have.

 

Many run 2.0 for rears including myself. I came from stock rear shocks so maybe not the best person to answer your specific q. Maybe save for fox or king 2.5 instead if you're concerned about shock size. Either way, you get a rebuild able shock if you stay away from the billies.

 

Those will work just fine. Deaver j66 provide 1.5" over stock so you're well within the shocks limits. Compressed length may require an extension of your bump stops to prevent damage from over compression of those shocks tho.. something to look into.

How much lift are you currently running in the rear?

 

I’m currently running allpro standards with wheelers Superbumps ubolt flipkit. My allpros are super tired and I’m looking to lower my lift

 

Anyone know where I can find the bearing misalignment spacers that go on the lower shock mount to LCA.
They’re the one long, one short pieces. They’re usually zip tied on the shock when you first get em. Lost one side

 

Contact Fox Directly and ask them for the PNs. Then you should be able to find them online. Fox will need your coilover PN. The Fox team's support is by far the best I've come across. They are quick to answer your questions. Good luck

13" were way too short. 14" 600 kings going in.

Rides a little tighter which I like. Floats over all bumps at high speed and less dive braking. im at half the amount of threads i used to be at already.
Very happy. I’ll adjust height once again in a week or so when they settle. Happy as a hippo.

No, had a fab/race shop here in SA rebuild and throw the springs on for me. I just did the removal and reinstall
