It’s a Circlip. Use a flat head driver or needle nose pliers.

 

And I’m willing to bet, you rarely shear bolts too

 

Ive never had a bolt sheared from corrosion before. Only overtightening.

Ah you were smart and took the fender off to do it, I had to connect my snorkel on the beach in Pismo after Miguel brought me the missing intake piece I needed lol. Was not fun attaching the tubing to the intake with the fender still attached

 

Yeah, that would have been a pain in the ass. Still had to fight it a little to get the fender back on and line up the connection to the airbox.

 

If only it didn't mean having to live in the middle of the desert...this sounds awesome
