Selling one. Dumping the $$ into the other lol. Franken4runner. d60/14 bolt, LS swap with an Atlas, 42s, blah blah family crawler.

Nice. An LS swapped 2nd gen on 42's will still be faster then a stock 2nd Gen. The 3.slow has to be Toyota's worse motor ever produced.

One of them has a newly rebuilt 3.0. I'm going to put that one in the seller.

I want to go all out but we'll see. I'm going to focus on the powertrain and then see where I'm at.
    Tight fit :p

Time and money is what decides everyone's finished product. That and staying motivated through the build. I've got my next build built in my head. I just need the money to start it and the time to finish it. lol

    Hi Reno,
I have an old (ca late 90's) canvas tent that was designed by an old member of the CA 4WD Association. It works pretty much like a roof top tent but was designed to go on top of a 1/4 military trailer. The part on top the trailer is the bed and just like a rooftop tent it has a side bedroom that drops to the ground. I do not have any pictures of it in action and cannot find any online. It is constructed of heavy duty canvas cloth and the whole thing probably weighs 200 pounds.

Here is a shot of how it was mounted.

It is in good shape except a couple small holes in the canvas. It could be repaired if you can sew and seal the patches. I doubt this would work on a typical rack for a tacoma since it would be too high for the side bedroom which was designed for the height of the trailer. You could cut the stitching on the floor and add an extension though. It is at my storage locker in south reno. I could meet you there to take a look at it.

Free to a good home for the first one to respond to this post. PM won't count.

That’s a sweet trailer... have always wanted one. I know that’s not what you’re wanting to part with. Just a compliment on a nice piece of equipment
