One of his posts shows him going to a Bakersfield cars and coffee. So I guess thats north of LA ? Im horrible with locations and directions

Fairly certain you can’t get clicker adjusters for the bypasses. Unless that’s a new item they have.

You get what you pay for. I understand that the product is the same but the service and expertise you get between the two is vastly different. Especially if you're considering the valving service that is included. They have to cover their additional overhead.

The only clickers I know of are the ones that go on the check valves. Clicking knobs vs Allen keys.

But the product isn’t the same. Since Each shock ordered from @AccuTune Offroad is custom and individually tuned. Therefore, increasing the value of the product. If they wanted to, they could charge more for the service but they don’t. So the decision not to price-matching to an inferior product is a no-brainer in my opinion.

Yeah but that’s at the reservoir and just a compression adjuster. Don’t think you can get finger/ thumb knobs for the bypass ports. Which is what I thought he was talking about.

It might just be an add-on from filthy, but I’d say it’s more of a novelty. Besides having the added security that someone doesn’t just walk up at the grocery store and in their ogling screw up the rebound setting on my bypasses. I’d keep the $200.

Yeah, I mean once you get things dialed in you really don’t touch them again unless things change on the truck or for a specific terrain. Even at that you can just remember the two settings and make the quick changes when needed.

For me I have one jump out behind my place that has a very abrupt takeoff. Whenever I’m gonna hit that I just crank the front compression adjusters to full hard (coilovers only) and it’s ready to send. After jumping, back em off to where I usually run them and I’m done

Exactly. Occasionally I’ll make small adjustments to my bypasses, but other than that I don’t touch them.

I’m a fan of clickers on coilovers though. My plane is to buy Locked coilovers next since all their coilovers come standard with them. And cus I’m a broke son of a bush.
Custom tuned shock VS off-the-shelf tuned shock. And yes, you can valve the shim stack in the piston if you wanted to.

Hmm, didn’t see them there but like you I’m not spending money on them. My next shock purchases will be ADS 3.0x8” 3 tubes up front and 3.0x16” 5 tubes for the rear. That is if I stay leaf springs in the rear long enough for that purchase to happen

I mean, if you REALLY want to get to the fine details, sure you could argue the value there but I'm looking at the larger picture in saying they come from the same manufacturer, same parts, etc. Your statement is also vague in assuming they are changing bypass zoning per order which if setup well from the manufacturer could be considered redundant.

If ORW is ordering a TC spec'd bypass from King and Accutune is ordering the same bypass with different valving, is it an inferior product? You also have to consider the value in their service per individual. The custom valved shock creates a lot of additional value for someone who has limited product knowledge or doesn't have experience tuning, but is worth less for someone who knows what they're doing and is willing to invest the time to achieve their desired ride quality.

“Custom valved” is for someone that doesn’t know any better. The valving in my “spec” coilovers is so far from the way they originally came now I don’t know how they can call that the spec valving.

Yes, the valving can change per the application just like any other shock but you get a lot more adjustability via the bypass tubes.

    See my last post.
