I have this model... but the non-bluetooth version. The built in probe isn't very accurate.. I use a Maverick wireless thermometer instead.

Mine is the electric digital $249 model without the probe or Bluetooth. I’m running a Bluetooth cuisinart thermometer with two probes. You can add chips without opening the door. Ive never smoked anything before and I made awesome pulled pork on the first try. Next I want to try and do a brisket.

I have my probes but can't find the units to save my life. :annoyed: That's one of the things I was hoping to take advantage of with the Smoke IT app thing, but now I am a bit skeptical from what others say.

speaking of the guns part...if anyone sees any .300 blackout ammo down CHAS way, give me a yell. got a new pistol build the other week and can't find any ammo to put it to use.

that's my thoughts...boston butts, briskets, maybe some chicken or bacon too. figure this would be a good stepping stone to get into it w/o breaking the bank.

Pork shoulder is probably the most forgiving meat to start with. And rewarding! Hard to beat a good pulled pork sammich... or taco... or salad... or whatever!

As am I. I have been eating my pulled pork with a lettuce wrap and sprinkle cheese. I've almost gotten decent enough to not spill it everywhere.

Just do the 16-8 fast. It’s what I am doing. Prove to myself I only need two small meals a day to function. Help me lose 25 pounds.

I'm down 17 since Jan 27th and probably would be more, but booze was impacting my weight loss. Liver = alcohol before carbs before fat. I've cut that out and will hopefully start seeing a larger loss soon.

I've had 3 weekends since I started where I went all out and gained ~4lbs back each weekend. Turn around and lose that the next week and keep trying to not hit plateaus.

That hurts since it takes a few days to get back into ketosis. :( Do you monitor your blood or breath ketones?

Walmart and most grocery stores sells low carb wraps! Aldi has zero carb bread. Or make a taco shell out of shredded cheese!

I stopped drinking beer. Still drink liquor but not the sweet stuff. Usually sip tequila or scotch. Or make coconut margaritas without adding the cream of coconut.

I don't. My wife and SIL do. One tracks via the piss strips and the other does the blood tests. I just eat my way that's minimal carbs for the most part and just roll w/ it. I'd lose more if I stopped drinking Coke Zero.

For keto ice cream, you can't beat Rebel ice cream for taste or the carbs. A whole pint is usually only 5g.
    For chocolate, Choczero is amazing!
But after starting keto, the sweet cravings are few and far between.

I guess I eat dirty keto. I don't count macros or anything. Just eat low carb. And generally stay far away from sugar.
