Because I'm an Amazon junkie and I dont have a strong need for the Tacoma brand name on my bed mat. The name is sufficiently everywhere else on my truck.

Not necessarily what I did today, but today is the first nice day when my truck is clean since I finished my lift and new wheels. My 2018 Tacoma TRD, lifted (Old Man Emu) with new wheels (Wheel Pros XD852) and new tires (Yokohama Geolanders).

Purchased used aluminum MobTown engine and transmission skid plates from a friendly TacomaWorld user several months ago. They were the early version and had no oil filter door, so it required dropping the front skid to do an oil change. Not something I wanted to hassle with every oil change, but they were such a good deal I bought them anyway.
So I had a buddy of mine who owns a machine shop fabricate me a door that can be removed at will. Finally got them installed yesterday.

Original skids as purchased used.



After oil change opening cut, paint, and install.

 

It is a Warn semi-hidden kit.
