Picked up my replacement rear bumper today. Went with a @Mobtown Offroad HC dual swingout. Hoping to get this off to powdercoat this week or next and start planning for a install day.

 

Pelfrey’s off the truck and sold to someone making quite the drive to pick up. Now truck sits and waits for replacement bumper to get home from powdercoat

I'm about to do the DFG slide and CFX 35 in the bed. How's it holding up mounted to the bed? Is the weight of the fridge on a trail anything to worry about with the slide mounted to the bed?

 

So I’ve only had the fridge mounted in the bed a few weeks. I used it on one trip so far and it was great. It convinced a buddy of mine to get one as well. I removed the setup recently to take my bumper to powdercoat but plan on putting back in once I pick up the bumper. Structurally it seems to all be holding up fine, only time could tell. I also run the cover on it to help protect it. I went with the DFG slide because it is a little lighter. It works well. Haven’t had issues. Comes with a warranty which is nice to know.

Today I was able to mount my @ARCHIVE HC cross bar, Got the new replacement bumper mounted from @Mobtown Offroad and wired up the new S2 flush mounts in the rear bumper. Swingouts are still at Powdercoat but should be getting picked up mid this week.

 

Picked up the swingouts today from powdercoat and went ahead and started assembling, Went with a grey similar to the truck which Came out pretty nice. Also went ahead and did the same grey on my front bumper insert for the Fairlead. Couldn’t complete the install due to missing a part, so truck will sit, but have been in contact with @Mobtown Offroad so hopefully will get resolved soon. Also still need to relocate the backup camera. Will probably not run the dual jerry can holder, and possibly replace with rotopax or a propane tank mount.

 

Swapped out wheels and tires today on the truck, went with countersteer type X wheels w/ toyo AT3’s in a 285/75/17.

Spent the weekend out at a somewhat local spot, went up to Thomas mountain. Been working on my wife’s 4Runner lately so she wanted to take it out camping. Went out and just spent the weekend relaxing with @Donjuan . Weather was perfect, food was good and beers were just going down to smooth.

 

So yesterday I had a guy come down from DTLA for a switchpro install, before that I was in contact with a friend @jojotoo who was looking to sell his bed rack so I was lucky enough to get a TwExpress from DTLA to my house and at the same time work on a truck. The rack fits great and swapped over from a BAMF steel rack to a RCI aluminum rack.


This morning I met up with @TWTaco and got the truck tuned. Went ahead and went with his KD Max 6.0 performance tune. Feels like a whole new truck! Barely have to step on the pedal and can’t really feel the weight of the truck. Not to mention I may have gained some MPG’s haha. Overall happy with the new tune
