Which tire? I'm so indecisive!

2017 TRD Sport with a 3" spacer in the front and 2" block in the back. Also got some UCAs for the lift from freedom off-road. I picked up some used open country's in 285/70/17. Wheels are Vision Nemesis 17x9 -12mm offset. They rubbed the mud guards so I took the mud guards off.

Now I'm looking to go Wildpeaks or maybe Discovers. Wanted Ko2's but I've seen a lot of people jump from those to the wildpeaks and like them better.
I'm wondering since the new tire will have full tread do you think it will rub the cab mount? Don't really want to go down to a 275.
Anyone have this problem at all, or, have any input?

And before the "here we go with another tire fit/lift question". Work with me please. Don't want to spend 800+ on tires just to find out I need a cmc.

Eek. My buddy has similar setup to you but with zero offset. He rubs with bumps, offroading. Likely, you will be rubbing the cab mount. Since you have UCA's, you can have a shop adjust caster to maximally to clear the cab mount.

Do you recommend the caster adjust or to just grab a set of these https://freedomoffroadusa.com/2-5-5-adjustable-coilovers-w-extended-end-links-fo-t901f/
and get rid the spacers up front?

I think I would put the KO2's on the Right, Wildpeaks on the Left - but I can't decide.

Your original setup with the blocks should work. Have an offroad shop that does alignments maximize your caster to push the wheel forward, towards the front of the truck so you can maximally clear the cab mount. Buying the coilovers won't make a difference as far as clearing your cab mount is concerned. Your adjustable aftermarket UCA's will be the difference maker. From experience, your big box tire stores and the local Indian tire shop guys will not customize your alignment.

How do they ride on daily roads? Do they make much noise? My tire guy was telling me about them and I hadn’t seen a set until now. He put some on another truck and really liked them. He said they were well made and should be a good tire.

    It is just money...
Wildpeak A/T3Ws are great. I love my KM3s but they're aggressive for a daily.

I did a big long post on this. The TLDR, I like them better than both the KO2 and the Wildpeak. They are quieter than the Wildpeak, a bit louder than the OEM Shitbox tires. Maxxis just built a massive facility, one of the biggest in the world right now, in Taiwan. But what woo'd me was the good looks and the SL is only 38lbs!

    Here's the big thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/maxxis-razr-at-in-e-and-sl.687907/

Thanks for the info. The 38lbs has definitely put it on my list. 50-60 lbs or more is a lot of added weight and for my uses I don’t need 10 ply tires. I know some guys need it but not me.

    These

Toyo Tire Open Country A/T III | Discount Tire

Or these I have personal experience with and would recommend.

Goodyear Wrangler UltraTerrain AT | Discount Tire

I can't say about KO2's, but I won't pay the price for them.

I read mixed reviews on Falken's. A lot of folks really like them, but I've also seen too many posts concerning poor ride and the inability to get them to balance.

I've had Coopers in the past. When they were selling at discount prices they were an OK tire for the money. But they have changed their marketing. When I bought them they only sold to small independent shops and offered a $70-$80 rebate 3-4 times each year. If you could time your purchase during a rebate it was hard to justify buying anything else. They offer pretty good traction in mud/snow etc., especially when new, but were never a great riding tire.

For the last few years they now only sell to larger wholesalers and haven't offered a rebate in several years. The last time I priced tires Michelins were cheaper. Any way you look at it they are a budget tire. I'm not paying Michelin prices for Cooper tires.
