I think the money spent on our pool has been just about best bang for buck out of about anything. It's going on at least ten years old now. Had to replace pump and filter a couple of times but they're not that expensive. I think the wife almost feels guilty having to spend on maintenance for it. I always tell her get whatever you need. Lord only knows how much I spend on frivolous wants vs needs.

The other day when creed was massaging his rims back into shape, it made me wonder if anyone else has seen stamped aluminum rims get like a porosity leak? On my Suzuki Quad 2 of the four rims got little pin hole leaks in them. I took all the weight off and air out and put little dab of 2 part epoxy for a repair. This happened about 8 years into ownership I would guess. I've redone the epoxy once. Since then bought 4 brand new take offs from a coworker. $250. Wheels and tires.

I have never encouraged mine to grow, it probably isn't even "real" grass, just whatever grows up in farm fields and got mowed for the last 75 years or so. Whatever it is it seems to keep growing (and I keep mowing) even in the dry years.
