No pics but I cranked up my Fox 2.5s to close to 2” of exposed threads. Smoothed out the ride up front.

then I ordered a set of Archive Hammer Hangers.... :notsure:

I purchased some BAMF Front bumper reinforcements to strengthen up my recovery points on my prerunner tube bumper.

    1.jpg

Since I cut off my factory crossbar to get my bumper as high clearance as I can, I chopped these in half. Additionally, I was thinking since these bolt to the frame, how cool would it be to have a support bar connecting them acting as a new crossbar? I was thinking of welding a 2" piece of DOM tubing right where the bolts would go.

    3.jpg 2.jpg

So I had some threaded bungs made, measured and cut a piece of tube for the new crossbar, then welded everything up

    4.jpg 5.jpg 6.jpg

Here is everything powder coated and installed.

    7.jpg 8.jpg 9.jpg

Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the end result. Extra support for the frame, and removable if I ever needed to make changes.

Changed out front calipers. Broke the hard line at the connection. Just barely.. Took me a while to figure out why air was still in the system...

I’ve started using synthetic clay mitts. Super fast and just use it with your favorite car wash. Give it a try sometime.

Added a RTT. Been wanting to do this since buying the truck. Life, move, jobs, deployments, kids came first.

I got mine from Griots. But Chemical Guys carries them. Most detail supply places.

Oh god no. NEVER use dawn on paint. I use to detail cars for a living. DAWN WILL remove the factory clearcoat over time. Just telling you from years of seeing it’s effects on cars.

Using a clay bar is key before you polish the paint. It’s removes the imbedded contamination that washing doesn’t get. I can wash a vehicle really well and then run a clay bar over it and watch it come up black. One thing to consider is that these are trucks so I don’t know if it’s important for most people to paint correct and polish or not. I wash, debug, clay, polish and wax my truck at least once a year. Helps Keep the paint like new and makes regular washing a breeze. Dirt, mud and snow just slide off (generally) but I don’t 4wheel much either right now.takes me about 2 days to complete the job if I do it 100%.

I'm in that camp with my rattle-can (but color-matched) spot covers. I just have splotches of paint on the truck in various places to cover where the biggest damage was done, or to cover up a rust spot that I previously polymer converted. From my perspective, keeping it running well is way more important than looking nice. Some people want both, more power to them. :)
