    Duplicating machine?

I built this thing a while back. It can handle a 48 x 48 sheet, but I use Vetric to "tile" 48 x 96 sheets.

I kept meaning to redo it to handle the metric 1.5 meters (Baltic Birch) boards but still haven't gotten around to it.

Way overkill; the first machine (1995) was screw feed (lots of errors) and all handwritten code. End up repurposing it as a slide saw, sold for more than I had into. I finally got the CNC code to run. These days Mach3 and Vetric are so much faster.

I meant the dovetail machine sitting in front of the cnc
I plan to learn the cnc machine too someday but they’re getting ready to replace this particular one with something newer and fancier with some 3D capabilities

Finally getting some time to build a sofa/hall table for a friend. So after finding a design he liked it was off to the wood store for some Cherry. This is just the dry fit stage and still have to get the top glued up and the finish sprayed. It has a few Greene & Greene details that he liked and I really like. A&C, G&G and Mission style are my favourites when building furniture.

Reimer. Westwind is too $$$. I use my old bosses account. For the more exotic wood Westwind is hard to beat on the island.

I'm getting old, kept thinking "oh that's, no it's, nope it is.... "

Oh, two strikes as Dolly Parton popped to mind. Nope, she was born and raised in Tennessee.

    Wood turners!!
I’m in the market for a new midi lathe. Got my choice down to two. Laguna 12/16 EVS and the Delta 46-460. They are right at my price range. I need to sell my Nova Comet II. Hopefully I can get half the money for a new purchase. Anyone have the Laguna or Delta model??

If you have a woodworking store close to you, see if they offer classes. I noticed Woodcraft here in Austin, TX had JET lathes in their classes.
They sell Jet/Laguna/Rikon and others but used Jet for class.

    https://www.woodcraft.com/stores/austin/blog/entry/pick-your-lathe-project-austin

No recommendations on either, I'm slowing down so no more lathe work.

My woodworking skills turned a bit rustic lately. Last fall, I had a couple of trees removed, and had the tree service leave me a section of one of them, a 5-foot piece of silver maple. I split it with my chain saw and tapered the ends a little. I used a hole saw to bore leg holes on the underside after removing the bark with a hatchet and belt sander. The. I cut legs from a limb I had trimmed from my chestnut tree, made braces from a few sticks of white oak firewood. While I used drills to cut the mortises for the legs and bracing, I hand cut the tenons using a hatchet, wood chisel and wood rasp. I used an expanding polyurethane glue, and pegged all the fittings with red oak dowels. I used a power hand plane to smooth the seat surface, then a palm sander. I finished the entire bench with a couple of coats of teak oil. It's heavy as hell, I can barely lift it into a vertical position, and two of us can only lift and carry it a few feet at a time. It's probably 400 pounds or so.

make sure you look at the penn state industries lathes. They have more power. Than jet. Not sure about the comparison to the ones you are looking at
