haha yup she made the cut. Unfortunately the old trucks been shipped back to Progressives salvage yard in Ohio already.

 

You Tube clay bar a car and you can spend years watching how to videos. But you learn everything you need to know in about 2 -3 minutes with the right video. If you listen to the people who sell detailing supplies they will tell you that you need to buy expensive "clay bar spray" to be able to clay bar your truck. I use a spray bottle with water and a decent amount of Dawn dishwashing liquid mixed in. The Dawn will remove the wax on your truck, which the clay bar will do anyways, it is cheap, and easy to mix up with regular water. Just make sure you fold over the clay often once it gets dirty and spray copious amounts of Dawn/water from the spray bottle on the surface you are claying. The clay should never be on a dry surface. Wash the truck after you are done claying to get all the Dawn residue off and apply your favorite paint treatment.

 

No pics but I cranked up my Fox 2.5s to close to 2” of exposed threads. Smoothed out the ride up front.









then I ordered a set of Archive Hammer Hangers....

 

I purchased some BAMF Front bumper reinforcements to strengthen up my recovery points on my prerunner tube bumper.



Since I cut off my factory crossbar to get my bumper as high clearance as I can, I chopped these in half. Additionally, I was thinking since these bolt to the frame, how cool would it be to have a support bar connecting them acting as a new crossbar? I was thinking of welding a 2" piece of DOM tubing right where the bolts would go.



So I had some threaded bungs made, measured and cut a piece of tube for the new crossbar, then welded everything up



Here is everything powder coated and installed.




Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with the end result. Extra support for the frame, and removable if I ever needed to make changes.

Changed out front calipers. Broke the hard line at the connection. Just barely.. Took me a while to figure out why air was still in the system...

 

coolant, hoses, thermostat, waterpump, idlers, tensioner & belt in the works.

 

It was a few years back but it was approximately $950 for the front and back.

 

These arrived today. Now I have something to do this weekend.

 

Just spent wayyyyy too much money on new fogs. I'll throw my old ones up for sale and buy new LCAs with the money. Plus maybe some wheelers off road bumps for the rear. Yay money

 

I’ve started using synthetic clay mitts. Super fast and just use it with your favorite car wash. Give it a try sometime.

Was it easy? The fuse taps I hate electrical lol.

 

Installed a budget Amazon switch panel and rock lights.

 

Added a RTT. Been wanting to do this since buying the truck. Life, move, jobs, deployments, kids came first.

 

I got mine from Griots. But Chemical Guys carries them. Most detail supply places.

Oh god no. NEVER use dawn on paint. I use to detail cars for a living. DAWN WILL remove the factory clearcoat over time. Just telling you from years of seeing it’s effects on cars.
