Ok, been researching here for a while and this is what I'm thinking for a 2 inch lift for my 2009 Double Cab Off Road.

Basically I want a reliable lift to replace my tired stock suspension and handle a RTT and gear for exploring the backroads of Northern Canada.

    Front
Bilstein 6112 Kit with Springs (46-241627)
Specialty Products Upper Control Arm Set - 25470

    Rear
    Bilstein 5100 Series 0-1" Rear Lift (24-186728)
Icon Suspension 1.5 Inch Lift Rear Expansion Pack - 51100
Bilstein 1" Rear Lift Kit (905016)
Bilstein Diff Drop Spacer Kit (900005)

The rear shocks will be over-extending with the 1” block and 1.5” AAL. And avoid the differential drop kit as it does almost nothing from what many members have said and could do more harm than good

Looks like you don't need the block if you have the aal. If you are going up 2 1/2" in the rear might want longer brake lines, maybe look at a new leaf pack. I'm sitting on a set of allpro expo leafs if you want to go up a little more in the rear:boink:

    What do you guys think?

Option 1: Get rid of Bilstein 1" Rear Block (905016) and Bilstein Diff Drop Spacer Kit (900005) and get longer brake lines.

Option 2: Keep Bilstein 1" Rear Block (905016), get rid of Bilstein Diff Drop Spacer Kit (900005)

Option 3: Get ARB Old Man Emu - EL111R leaf pack, get rid of Bilstein Diff Drop Spacer Kit (900005)

Otherwise option 1 but again the aal is going to sag in a year or so

When I was getting quotes from Toyota Dealerships (and every other shop) they recommended a differential drop even for a 2 inch lift. At no extra labor cost (it takes like 2 minutes). I’ve learned not to listen to a lot of advice in this forum. There are tons of really strong opinions that I think people just parrot. Lots of great advice too, you just have to weed it out. For example, people will tell you that a 1 inch block will cause axle wrap, then suggest a 2 inch AAL for your new rear shocks that the manufacturer states are for 0-1 inch lifted trucks. I say get a good idea of what you want and then call several shops and see what they say. I will take the word of a shop that does hundreds or thousands of lifts a year (and deals with fixing things like vibrations afterwards) over guys that have lifted their own trucks once or a handful of times. Tons of great info on TW, but the parroting is very real in my opinion.
