No tool needed. I used a hair dryer to war my mirror a bit because it was sub freezing in the garage. Tilted the mirror up and then grabbed the bottom of the OEM mirror with my hands and pried it out/up. Easy.

Quite a bit of info on them in this thread:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/new-pirelli-scorpion-a-t-plus-installed.547094/

I have run them since last September. 265/75R16 E loads. I wanted a balance of an E load that wasn't too heavy. I spend a lot of time in the North Maine Woods. The roads can be hard on tires. Lots of shale. They did well on a couple of hunting trips. I have had no problem in snow or rain. Seems to be at least as good as the stock tires on pavement. I did puncture one on I95. Ran over a HUGE lead tire weight. Of course I didn't get hazard insurance. Overall, I have about 2500 miles on them. I'd buy them again. Also, Walmart had the cheapest price on them. I showed that price to my local shop and they matched it.

Doesn't the vent itself rotate under the weight of a phone? I'm currently using a mount that pinches a vent, but it's always rotating...

Is that suspension stock? And I see you have similar mud flaps (if not the same ones) as me - Rekgens. Any rub? I'm looking to do 265/75R16 on the stock wheels for my next setup as well, but not looking to lift or anything. Was told that's as high as you can go, but it's really hit or miss with whether it rubs with low profile mud flaps. Curious what your experience is with the wheel's articulation. Cheers

Utility trailers are a definite must have. Since we have some "skinny" roads here, I stayed with a 6' wide. Makes for a lot less stressful pulling when your tires aren't hugging the centerline and the edge of the pavement at the same time! Mower and XUV fit nicely.
I would have liked the solid sides like yours though. Thats really nice.

Thanks. I wanted something I could also use to grab mulch and dirt without having to build something to block the open rails of traditional utility trailers. The Belmonts have 18" sides - 4" higher than anything else I could find. I was surprised at how well it tucked in behind the Tacoma and I did appreciate that the 6' width made it easy to keep in the lane.

Stock suspension and wheels. I think it would have rubbed on the original mud flaps, but changed them when I changed the tires. I have not experienced any rubbing.

The phone mount is the same concept and price as the Un-Holey mount from Hondo garage. I've got the Un-Holey mount.

So it is actually mounted to the outer lip of the vent which does not spin or rotate in any way. I can also still spin the inner vent a bit without affecting the mount.

that's why i went oem and yeah it is a little more work than the overlays but i didn't like how some of the letters on "tacoma" and the number 6 on the "v6" weren't cut out. i paid $43 and change for each "tacoma" emblem and $19 and change for the "v6" emblem and free shipping.

Still debating on painting these black but then I saw the gunmetal and that looks so nice on her gray Runner.
