Just mentioning pool makes me have flashbacks. We had a decent sized in-ground pool at my old house in Mississippi. We lived there over 6 years and probably had $8K in that thing in repairs... Was a total maintenance nightmare to be honest. Went through a liner, 3 pumps, 2 filters, a skimmer line, and various other plumbing issues. It did make a cool backyard though...

They sure can be expensive, that’s why I like the cheap above ground ones, if I get sick of it or it starts to become a maintenance hog, down it comes!

Our pool was here when we moved in 20 years ago. We've replaced the liner and the diving board once . We usually spend about 200 bucks a year on chemicals.

The unloader, thank you and thanks for sharing that about the centrifugal operation. It's been a few years since training on the ones we have. Now I should revisit the manual and refresh my memory how our unloader operates. I don't recall exactly but remember during the training that I corrected the instructor on how that unloader works...just looking at it mechanically I could tell...but now don't remember :anonymous:

I agree!! And the last 2 days I have somewhat ignored my low carbohydrate intake plan so I could go for a donut today myself. Or possibly a large glazed apple fritter lol

Thanks, it’s small and a mess but it works

I’m gonna cut out the bad and get it straight and go from there on the repair. I’ll post some pics when I do it.
