Both of my rider mowers have Kohler engines. Agree the first start after winter is difficult. One is a single one a Vtwin.
I was looking at new Bad boy mowers the other day. I really like that one with a bagger though!

I don`t miss having to cut grass at all .If I needed to I would get Goats

Last time was when I was a Kid I was told to never cut the grass again I thought the interesting patterns I cut in the yard looked pretty Good Mom did not see it quite that way for some reason.

I considered goats and even went and looked at a couple that a coworker was getting rid of. Someone warned me though that they climb on everything and would eat the shingles off the roof of the house. I said forget that!

I'm sure that will work fine. I shopped and compared for quite some time, so many out there it was hard to decide.
Going on the Tacoma? I originally wanted to outfit the wifes Tacoma all up but ended up going a different direction, entirely different vehicle. Same thing with bumper choices for Tacoma, I made my mind up if I got something aftermarket it would be ARB. I think the Honey Badger bumper looks good but how in the world would you get to the winch??

Just like vehicles you can`t throw all the different Goat breeds under one label .

Like using your Corvette for Hard Core Rock Crawling .

There are breeds out there that don`t get into the climbing and destroying things when bored.

I don’t know how it got bent. I’m going to cut it out and replace then probably plate it too.

That's odd. I have a 22hp Kohler twin on my Cub and it started up like it never sat last weekend. It did have treates non ethanol 91 in it though. It has 10 hours on it though, so I guess that's cheating.

I know I am Hungry Now.

Nothing like a goat being spun over a nice charcoal pit.

The right sauce and cooking they all taste good when your hungry .

It is much better to buy the goat first then haggle price after the fact

I can't let my Toro self propelled mower with the Kohler sit all winter, learned that the past couple years. Aside from that, it starts first pull and runs great. Same for the B&S in my craftsman lawn tractor.

Those B&S motors are pretty good. Had same one in my push mower since 2011 and only done maintenance on it. Still running strong.

I sure hope it was the right choice, I was on the fence between this and a Smittybilt gen 3, 4WD.com had the smittybilt with a free aluminum shackle, but didn’t qualify for the 10% discount due to this. It also had a steel cable. The Rough country one was eligible for 10% off, came with a synthetic cable, and was closer to my buget.
    I hope it works well.
I’m putting it behind the stock bumper of the Tacoma. I picked up a vintage Pelfrey hidden winch bracket, my goal is to be as light as possible. Which is where that synthetic cable came in as an added benefit.
It’ll be my first winch purchase and I hope I don’t regret the HP rating over the Smittybilt, 5.5 vs 7.
Either way I’m stoked to get this project underway!
