Ultra Terrains don't have stone ejectors or any kind of mileage warranty - That kinda' pushed me away from them.

Yep. Same Maxxis. I was surprised the logo wasn't bright yellow on the sidewall. :)

Those look really good. The SL 265/75r16 is really light too.

I was a big Yokohama fan and still a good tire but upgraded my OEM worst tire ever, Goodyear to TOYO 265/75R16 Open Country A/T2. I wanted to stay with the OEM PRO wheel. I am really happy with the tire. I like the semi aggressive look but still quiet on the open road.

It's tough to beat the 285 70 17 KO2 in C load for 51lbs. I picked up 5 new take offs from a Jeep for $750USA bucks. See if you can pick up some new take offs in your area.

Since your profile says you are RWD (2wd only, right) is there a way you use the truck that requires a lift and aggressive tires, or is this just a style thing?

Graded roads and deep puddles don't 'count' for off road............ and I doubt you are doing sippy holes or our ball bearing sand hills.

I go on Walmart.com and find a really cheap tire & then go haggle with Americas Tire until they give me a deal on Coopers or Yokohamas.

This or find a deal on Ebay if cheaper than walmart, discount tire will price match.

not sure of your budget but i have bfg km3's and i do mostly hwy driving for work and im totally impressed with these tires, for a mud terrain the tread wear is freaking awesome i almost have 1 1\2 years on my tires again daily driver. Tire tread depth new was 18\32 and i tire gauged them and im at 14\32 so that just tells you there they last a long time . My size is 285\75 \16 I cross rotate every 5k miles

I’m an unapologetic KO2 fan boy. Been running them on many vehicles forever now. Always happy with their performance and looks.

i do gotta say as i get older my mud terrains are wearing me down lol in the cab it would be nice to have a more quiet tire after I get these km'3 depleted of treads im going to a 295\75\16 ko'2 . Its funny to see going to a bigger tires plus less aggressive im dropping 10.5 lbs overall of rubber. Yes ko'2 have been and still are a great and realiable tire im excited to get them soon as i wear out these km3's

I just got a set of these from discount tire direct because they had a $100 off flash sale last week. They are sitting in my garage... Along with the lift... Waiting for install... But I still need new wheels.

I've ran multiple sets of wildpeaks over the years without any issues... I like them. But they're heavy. I was trying to reduce some tire weight this go around because the wheels I want to run are heavier.

The Open Country SL rated 285/70/17 tires weigh in at only 46 pounds... That's pretty light for nearly a 33" tire.
