that's why i went oem and yeah it is a little more work than the overlays but i didn't like how some of the letters on "tacoma" and the number 6 on the "v6" weren't cut out. i paid $43 and change for each "tacoma" emblem and $19 and change for the "v6" emblem and free shipping.

 

Wildpeak 275’s (no lift) on snowflakes for my SR. Swapped out to gunmetal TRD’s on my wife’s 4Runner so this is a freebie (not really) for me. Still debating on painting these black but then I saw the gunmetal and that looks so nice on her gray Runner.

The main reason I'd like the spotter mirrors is for viewing parking space lines when backing into a space. I typically need to adjust my mirrors down to see the line, or a curb (when parallel parking). Will these spotter mirrors allow me to keep the spotters down, so they always view the line/curb? Thanks!

Thanks for the details. I agree about the way the letters and V6 are cut out on yours. I think the time and money are worth it too, IMHO.

 

They will remain where you set them - although the mirrors are connected so it you adjust the regular mirror, you'll need to readjust the spotter. Once set, though, it remains in that spot. Does that make sense?

 

Yes. I typically set my mirrors once and forget about them. My question is, can I set the mirrors, and then set the spotters separately, so they aim down, and forget about them? Or, is the spotter fixed to the main mirror? If so, does it "spot" enough to view down towards the parking lines, while leaving the main mirrors in place? Maybe you can help me out with a "backup" test run?

 

So neglected to mention not the crew cab but the access cab. in channel won’t have any pieces for the back window which is why I went with the over so they have the second shield for the second window.

For backing into parking spaces, especially with the long box is why I bought the cheap 2” convex stick on mirrors. They are aimed down for that purpose only. I would think the smaller portion of the Spotter Mirrors would aim there too making it a cleaner look and more reliable in terms of the stick on’s eventually falling off.

 

Absolutely. While they are "connected," you set them separately. You can push the spotters up or down, left or right without impacting the setting of the main mirror so if you always want them to show a parking line view you can do that.

If you look at this picture of the backside of the Spotter Mirror you see a round area on the lower right. That's the swivel for the spotter portion so it works independently for you to set.

 

Added an AFE throttle body spacer today... I know people say they are not worth it and no proven power... but f* it, why not. Also, added a recovery shackle... for when I need to pull a Jeep out or something! Ha ha ha!!

Had my Taco for almost a month now. Today was overcast so I cleaned and polished it. Put handle protectors on it and a screen protector on the main screen. Earlier this week hid my cables for my front camera and radar detector. 52 years old and I act like i did at 16 with my first car. Accept now I can buy what I want. lol.
