    This is my buddy Fred.... he hooked this shark while we were fishing out of Stuart, FL last year. This one eventually broke a really nice Shimano rod....

    Grass carp I caught over the weekend. I’ve snagged a pile of them while after spoonbill but never had one bite like I got this one to. I’ve been after a big group of them in this lake for almost 4 years while in college and with a month left I finally got one.

    Yep that turned out to be an interesting fight. My finesse bass fishing combo did the job but lots of back and forth. I didn’t really expect to catch one so I just grabbed a rod and threw it in my truck. A lot different than the 12’ heavy action meat hunter rod and 80lb braid I am used to catch in them on but it was definitely more entertaining.
