Just dropped it off. They’re gonna call me tomorrow to swing by and show them what I want when it’s on the rack.

Swung by the shop earlier to show them how I want the opr mounted and they already had the pan off ready to drop the new one in. They said once the RTV has had 24 hours to dry it’ll be ready for pick up hopefully Thursday if not Friday

Picked the truck up and it feels great. I could feel the turbos dragging (?) Before when I stepped on the gas. Now it doesn't drag and power picks up quick. Once this is tuned it's going to be insane.

The OPR was mounted in a great spot and they routed the hoses exactly how I would. Love how small and compact it is.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

First start and the OPR was 40 psi at cold start and idles so much smoother! Will post a cold start tomorrow morning.

    https://youtu.be/oFUgVuObOIc

Once I got to temp oil pressure looks so much better and the truck loves it a lot. Like I said before idle is amazing!

    https://youtu.be/F7RDIPyjiqw

Just need to drive it a while and get the smoke out of the system or just drop it and clean it out. Overall I'm super pumped with the work done and seems to be the fix I needed.

Small fix but huge difference. My gas door was broken because I fiddle to much. Bought a new door and a upgraded door pin. Looks much better

My tuner had me throw V17 tune on the truck. Baseline is v14. Made 62#/min, 4.75* of timing, over 22psi and 0 wastegate %

    I made 20# of air with a click of a button :D

So chasing some issues down with a buddy and found a nice vacuum leak. Was on the phone with @Boostking trying to figure out the smoking issues that came back and saw it. We jbwelded it and hoping for the best. I think this was a big problem so let's see if the smoke stops now and the boost is controllable.

So after fixing the vacuum leak yesterday and going for a test run the truck still smoked. I came home and decided to put my catch routing back to stock. Passenger side is pcv to can to intake manifold. Before it was to the intake. The driver is still the same and what is recommend.

Drove it the same route as before and 0 smoke. I did notice though smoke under the hood and oil from the breather blew through the filter spraying oil. What I forgot was the pcv was gutted so I am going to the dealer tomorrow to pick up a new one. Will test for a few days and see where it goes.

Responseness on the turbos feel quicker with the vacuum fixed and the routing right. Hopefully this is THE fix.

Well I'm still smoking but only at idle after a while and when I rev the motor it stops. I think the exhaust is full of oil so I'll drop it today when it cools down and clean it out really good. Hopefully I don't have to drop the down pipes too

Bingo. It's at hot idle and I now know why.

    https://youtube.com/shorts/SIoshFtgSLg

There was so much oil trapped in the exhaust that I decide to drop the whole thing and clean it. I didn't quite know what I was getting into. Unbolted the catback first and went to see what the exhaust looked like. I also wanted to see if it would smoke in the downpipes too. That would tell me if my day was long or short. Unfortunately, it wasn't short. Here's a clip of the video but I have to say it sounds nasty in person.

    https://youtu.be/MgT38pfT_eM

So I had to drop the hole exhaust and clean it out. I went to the auto parts store and bought GUNK gel degreaser and a couple cans of original. Sprayed the entire exhaust and let it sit for an hour. A neighbor let me borrow their pressure washer and here are the results. I have header wrap coming because I ripped the driver side downpipes wrap. Going to let it dry and then tomorrow hook it up and see if it smokes still.

While I had the exhaust off I figured I'd inspect the back of the turbos. 0 shaft play and looks ok

So got the exhaust mounted back up and still some smoke. The more I drive it though the better it gets. I did test rerouting the catch cans back to the way I had them (gutted pcv to can to I take) and the turbos don’t smoke.

    Here’s with the can rerouted

    https://youtube.com/shorts/ZZylXiOQlnA

Here’s after I ran it the first time being put back on. It smoked but you could tell it was thinning out

    https://youtube.com/shorts/3ML50eN8G-s

Here’s after run two getting it hot and letting it idle for 15 minutes

    https://youtube.com/shorts/kRz8XZ-DDjI

and here’s after testing V20 tune. This time is hot and definitely needs work. Brett and I are going to do some work tomorrow and go back to baselines. Once we have a controlled baseline we’ll add power. Right now the wastegates are doing this weird spike thing when we try to keep them at 0%

I can hear my Turbosmart BOV leaking at high WOT so I ordered a Tial Q 50mm. Let’s see if this fixes the leak.

You had a busy past few days! I was curious if your exhaust was coated in oil. I can't remember the specifics, but wasn't that from back before you had most recently shipped it put?

Have to listen to the videos in a few.

Yea I’ve had smoking issues since I picked it up originally back in 2020. It’s all because the turbos were getting too much oil.

It’s a secondary vacuum reservoir. The 11-12 trucks had BOVs in the turbos and this was used as a secondary vacuum source.

So it is basically a vacuum block then? No internal diaphragm, correct?
