I’ll get better pictures. They look so tiny 265/75/16 if anyone is scared about the power loss I can not feel it.

I enjoy driving mine. ALOT. I contemplated swapping in an auto rear axle for the lower ratio but never did. If I ever go to larger alloy wheels I might to maintain leverage and to stay near accurate with odo/speedo. Every model is geared for the stock wheels which is why 5-lug 2wd 5Ms are around 3.31. At most I’d go to 3.73 since this is a pavement pounder.

I have a 2.7, get the pedal commander. It's totally worth the money. I've had mine for 2 years now. It'll really wake up the 2.7. It actually has balls Toyota purposely dumbed down the throttle response for gas mileage.

Yeah but I bought it for the mileage and trained my right foot to be a slipper. It gets 50% better mileage than my last truck but still has enough low end torque to get me and my shit rolling. For me that’s money in the bank and my work truck paying it’s way.

I've been considering doing this and I probably will, but after my warranty expires. Apparently it will void the warranty. I've wondered if it would make a difference for the 2.7. Is yours also a DCSB?

I won’t. I “liked” your post because I know there are many who would including myself in other circumstances.

Who told you it would void the warranty? According to the dealership, the other time the warranties get voided is when parts are traded out or modified.

You know - I may have misspoke. I was talking to a Toyota tech guy on the phone a couple of days ago about this very issue - my wishing that the 2.7 had more power. We started talking about cold air intakes and swapping out exhaust systems. That's when he said that would void the warranty. We were specifically talking about adding different components. I should verify with them.

I just know talking to them when I was purchasing my truck, the financing lady was telling me the only time warranties are voided are when oem parts are swapped. So when I changed my suspension, only suspension warranties are now void, not the entire truck. That’s why I get confused when people say they are waiting until their truck is out of warranty to do mods.

I had a yard of gravel in the back of my taco. The 3.5 did not care at all, I could only feel it when braking. Drove for about 45 mins through the mountain passes, I was impressed with my taco, as usual.

Those look good. Now you've got me thinking. Since joining the taco club, and especially this forum, I have suddenly discovered lots of things to spend $$$ on.

My 3.5 does none of those things, stock or tuned. Press the pedal, she goes, fast and smooth. Always used 91 E0 BTW. Love this freaking truck!

I have 286,000 on my sr love the truck still not tired of it. My trd off road does have more power with the v6 but I'm not in it like I'm in my work truck. Only thing I had to put in my sr is motor mounts, valve cover gasket, and lots of tires I'm running 265/70/16. I go threw 2 sets of rear tires to 1 set of front. Probably because of the weight I carry all the time. I swapped out the radio for a 2018 trd off road one so I have navigation and fuel mileage specs ,and I have crux interface kit with Amazon fire stick when I'm sitting waiting for customers. Or I'll just put it on a pod cast. The driver's seat is close to having it redone no rips just loosing the comfort.

Check out Clazzio seat covers! They have real leather I believe. Mine are synthetic. They make the seat feel like it has more cushion. Also waterproof and clean very easy.
