The Tonneau Cover that came with my truck has a gap in thee rear that allows water to get into the bed (see pic). Worse of all, it allows someone to lift the back flap enough to look into what is under the cover. Is there a way to adjust this? Is anyone else experiencing this same issue?

I’m thinking of getting this when I get mine, how long have you had this?

I just picked up my 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport on Dec 31, 2020. So just about 2.5-months at this point. I think I just went over 2,000-miles.

Mine is the exact same, not so much it can be pulled up but the back panel not being all the way flush kills my OCD.

And I haven’t tried to adjust it, not sure if it is.

Are you sure that the rear clasps are fully locked down?

Mine does this unless I give it a shove on the raised rectangle on each corner

I agree you do have to give them a little nudge to click all the way down, but it’s still slanted “up”.

As best as I can tell. I tried pushing each corner down without results. The worse part is it lets rain or snow in while driving in such weather.

Personally, I cannot recommend it. I kinda wish I had to buy my cover separately so I had the choice. I probably would have bought one of them BAK covers that are guaranteed weather resistant.

There are shims under the latches that can be removed to adjust how tight it closes. There is a thread somewhere that details how to adjust it. I will see if I can find it and post it here.

You have to give it a good push down, there are two locking positions. The second sometimes takes a bit to engage.

Where that small rectangular piece that is raised from the rest of the cover. Push down firmly near that until you hear two clicks. On both sides. Mine sits quite flush when I get both clicks locked in.

Seconded that it's not latched down correctly. There are two latch levels, similar to your door. One level is like when your door isn't shut all the way but is latched. I've sometimes had to get on top and use a knee with a bounce to seat it, but I got it. It's not that difficult now.

    Ask my accountant
Push hard with the forearms just right to hear the faint click nice and tight. Front weatherstrip still notcompressed far but doesn’t leak too bad.

Mine looked like that as well when I got the truck and I was a little disappointed until I searched TW and discovered the second click. It took some effort at first, but clicks right in now. My tonneau has done a great job at keeping water out, even when going through the car wash.
