To those above, you humble me........All I've done is pay taxes.....we all do that..

To those who haven't posted yet, please come forward, put up your story of service, IT IS NOT BOASTING, it is being proud, and everyone here wants to be proud of you.

To those above and those who post after, 2 words say it all:

    THANK YOU!!

I teach. Inner city High school kids. I talk to them and tell them to use there heads and make good decisions. To think about the choices they make and how it will affect them tomorrow. Alot of the teachers are so out of touch, and its not really there fault, but they dont know how to talk to the kids. I hope they listen and you can tell the ones who do. Im not gonna be gay and say the kids are the future and some other shit. Some of them FU%$(*ng scare me for the future! If some of them listen hopefully I helped and a good cycle continues. Most of the time the kids are ok.

Hey, don't sell yourself short! A lot of people don't pay or cheat on their taxes. Thanks for being one of the responsible people who pay. :)

When I worked at the prison we had a program where they brought at risk youth in to talk to a select group of guys serving life sentences. Man, some of those kids were hard core! I wouldn't want to have to work with them! Bless you and others like you for having the inner strength to deal with them.

U.S. Army for 8 years. I keep in contact with the soldiers that I served w/ that are still in, and try to write as much as possible. Our soldiers need our support, and thanks. I donote to local police and fire departments, and also donote to the red cross.

Vote Republican. I really don't want a socialistic communist F-in county that 44 dreams of.

I excercise my 2nd Amendment and member of the NRA. If we don't, the damn libs will take that away from us.

I appreciate what I have because I live in the greatest country on earth. That's big for me because many take it for granted. If you don't like it here, get the F out!!!

Thanks to everyone that makes our country so great.

On January 4th I celebrate my 20th year on my City's Fire Department and it's been a privilige and honor.I've never considered it serving the country, but our uniforms, bunker gear and trucks all carry the Canadian flag......A couple of months ago,one of our guys died on duty and his casket was draped with the Canadian flag.(RIP Terry:()

As stated earlier, there are those who serve in the traditional means and those who secretly serve by living their day to day lives just doing right by people and their country.....My admiration to all of you.

I agree with Squad314, there are many that serve without recognition. This is not to take anything away from those that serve in our armed services. They are my heros. Some are unable to contribute but still support their country and thats ok. As long as you contribute more than you take, you are serving your country, Thank You!

I started with DC PD in 85 and worked the 7th District (AKA the Annocostia Sheriff's Office)

Because of the resdency requirement I moved on to a MD department where I retired as a Detective Sergeant running the sex crimes unit after 22 wonderful years. During that time I was lucky to run a SWAT Team, and do some flying. Now I am narrowly focused on URD so you can enjoy your Tacomas more!!!
